I paid to park in the secure car park under the hotel. It was built to accomodate only `Renault Four size cars. I helped another client who used the car park with his six point turns. He tried to help me but I scraped my car and paid 20 euros for the privelege

Dear Mr de Robert, As a Platinum Member of the Accor bonus programm I was shocked and disappointed of the non existing membership benefits within your Hotel (except a free welcome drink). I do not expect a lot, but a personal greeting at the reception and the acknowledgment that I am a Platinum member would have been nice. None of this was given. I asked upfront for an early check in on the 18th of September via email and a room with a good view "Could you please assist with an early check-in at around 12:30/13:00? We would also appreciate it if you could arrange a quiet, sea-facing double room with a good view on the highest possible floor" and receive a quite simple answer: "Early check-in is not possible as we are still in season." I am aware that this is not something I can insist on, but even on arrival I needed to wait until exactly 15:00h and the room I received was facing the see, but not on the highest possible floor and facing the other building so that I could not see the sea from my bed (room 402). Please don't get me wrong, I did not expect any upgrade, but at least one of the nicest rooms you have in the category I booked. Furthermore I am used to find any nice personal greeting in the room and if it's just a drink or a piece of chocolate or a written note. Overall I decided to leave one night early and spend my last night at the Ibis Styles in Nice instead and guess what - I received an unspectacular but honoring service, one of the nicest rooms and a personal farewell at the check out. Nothing more I would have expected from a Mercure Hotel. Thanks for reading Henryk B.

The location is great on the port. The hotel is dated and needs updating. The pool area is a lot smaller compared to photos. The €200 damage deposit you pay up front is a hidden charge that they do not tell you on the website. It was meant to be refunded within 3 days, but I am on day 4 and this hasn’t happened.

Room not ready on time, had to move an hour later because the door did not lock, no welcome drink offered (bar closed anyway), no parking available, room had a strange odour, bar unattended all evening but managed to get served (just once!). What a let down!.
