Overall very good, but some minor issues like plugs for the coffee machine and kettle were not working and then broke again quickly after being fixed. The tv in the bathroom was not working at all and the remotes for the TVs in the rooms were only working within about 1 meter range so had to stand right next to the tv to change channels. Also, the tv channels quite limited. Second night the service during iftar was extremely slow and we ended up leaving without fully enjoying the meal because we couldn’t get anyone to serve us.

The hotel facilities are beautiful. However, they are not being cared for well. The hotel is woefully understaffed. Everyday we noticed trash in the hallways, areas of the guest room that had not been cleaned in months (window sills, patio area and chairs, duvet stained) food crumbs from the day before surrounding lobby chairs, beach and pool chairs not cleaned of bird poop, cigarette pots not emptied, the beach sand not raked or cleaned, etc. Overall, I feel the hotel is being allowed to lapse into disrepair and would not currently recommend to others until these issue we’re resolved and enough stand were on-hand to manage the property properly.

The room is great and welcome amenities are always a pleasure. I regret that due to Covid all breakfast are served in plastic plates and cup : really not 5 stars level. The room is empty of glasses at all or any cutlery which is a issue when you are provided water bottles, fruits, etc.

Arriving to the hotel was impressive, as we got closer and closer to the hotel, the rising view of the building made me giddy to see the rest of the grounds. Check in was a breeze, a quick rundown of the hotel services and amenities, and then we were off to go to the rooms. The room we booked had an amazing view of the sea. I don't think there would be any bad views at all. The bathroom was well stocked, the bathtub was huge, and the beds were very soft. (Too soft for my liking, would need something a bit firm.) The spa services were limited at the time, but the manicure, pedicure, and facial treatment I was able to book were fantastic. I would definitely go back just to try them out once it's safer for both the technicians and myself. The food, at all locations, but especially at Rivaaj, was delicious. My friend and I could not stop ordering dishes from Rivaaj, if we had stayed longer, we would have definitely have orders from there for lunch and dinner. For breakfast, Ms. Jane had waited on us and remembered us at our second visit and brought in the extra condiments without us mentioning them. She was so nice and pleasant during our stay. The pool, beach, and sun lounging area were very relaxing. There were many locations to settle in and lounge. I was tickled that there were coconuts offered. Best purchase ever. Overall we enjoyed ourselves, and would most likely come again for another staycation. Thank you for hosting us for the last couple of days.

The Sofitel Zallaq is an luxurious hotel in many aspects. We went as a family and enjoyed it thoroughly. The beach is natural and of high quality. The hotel architecture and room design are excellent. The service was also outstanding. Outlets are good, but quite on the steep side of prices. Many alternative good options exist outside in Zallaq springs which is just across the road. If you have a car, Rifaa is a close drive with some excellent restaurants. Although the hotel was quite full during our stay, the restaurants were noticeably empty despite the recent opening of indoor restaurants. I would consider the exaggerated high prices of food at the hotel as the only drawback, otherwise everything else was perfect.

It was a week day the bell boy was very rude no one explained to me that smoking was not aloud altho i booked a smoking room the reception were not cooperating properly and had an incident with them as they told me im not allowed to have guest visiting

Due to Covid19, we couldn’t come for months. We went this week and the less I can say is that the stay was perfect ! The Hotel, the staff and the management made our stay enjoyable, despite strict anti-Covid19 protocols which were followed. So, the stay was also very safe.

Excellent stay but room service was slow

Perfect place for family especially with small children. Would highly recommend the hotel to my friends. Room service was slow we requested the baby cot upon check-in and we have to call them 4 times it arrive at 10pm and my baby was already half asleep and dressing gown didn't arrived even we requested it since day 1.
