Completely inadequate and not maintained

N1749GZanthonyj Business - TripAdvisor review

Absolutely shocked at the state of the room given the £275 per night cost. To say it was tired was an understatement. Air con not working so room way to hot (I see other reviews a month prior mentioned this, so clearly no attempt to fix). Shower screen replaced by a totally inadequate and badly fixed, dirty curtain which leaked everywhere. Room smelt dirty and dusty, mould on the windows. Honestly wouldn't have been happy to pay £40 for this room Please see my photos

Everything about our stay at the Eastgate was perfect. Great location with all of the sights of Oxford within walking distance, our room was spacious and comfortable and all of the staff extremely helpful

Room a bit worn out, breakfast limited and had to chase them to replenish dishes and water for coffee / tea, but nothing that would automatically mean we wouldn't stay there again

Just OK

Location: good, food not too far up High Street, pubs a little further. Rooms: not so good, AC worked poorly, 3rd floor rooms hot & no elevator. Lobby: good, desk staff are good. Breakfast: good food and plenty of room. Parking: saw a lot, but don't know cost etc.

The historic setting, opposite the Oxford College courtyard is the perfect setting for an Oxford experience. Just off High Street, out of traffic yet in the center of the historic city amid several colleges, the Eastgate fresh rooms and modern baths earn a top rating.
