Very friendly and helpful staff. Great restaurant too - my only quibble could have done with more milk in the room - I like two sachets in each cup and four sachets was not enough. There was also only one tiny shower gel in the room which was only enough for one shower.

We recently stayed at the Francis Hotel over the bank holiday weekend. From start to finish our stay was most enjoyable. The newly decorated rooms were really stylish and the staff could not do enough for us. The restaurant was great with a lovely choice of food, even offering a great choice of smoothies to go with the breakfast. Fantastically located within a stones throw to all that Bath has to offer. We will definately be back. Thank you so much for making us so very welcome.

Have stayed at The Francis many times, and loved it, but would think twice about returning. Having breakfast there used to be a lovely experience with good service and delicious food. Now in the new Moroccan restaurant, there is a very limited menu, the service was diabolical, food not so good and the new system of a £20 allowance towards breakfast is not what you would expect from a hotel of this standard. I have never stayed in any hotel in the world where you have a breakfast allowance and have to purchase individually priced items. I don’t feel this is an excuse you can put down to Covid.

Good location, easy to get around Bath. The staff at reception were welcoming but it did get crowded with the guest when a family would check-in or out and blocked the one-way system in place to get to the room. (No staff to redirect the people waiting to check in to move out the way for the guest coming and going). The room was very tired and the furniture had signs of wear and tear and needed good dust. (I could draw a picture with my finger on the tabletops). Bed linen was also old, my son had yellow stains on his pillowcase and a dirty mark on the sheet which I had to cover with a towel. The biggest disappointment was the bathroom, it had black mould forming and had a very strong smell of damp and mould and couldn't stay in it for long. We had to ask for toilet paper and I had to ask twice for it to be replenished and clean cups to make a cup of tea.

The hotel is in a great location, bars, restaurants and attractions within walking distance. Room was great, lovely bed. Staff were helpful and attentive all bar one - the restaurant manager didn't seem overly eager to help even though we just wanted drinks outside and it didn't appear to be that busy. However the bar staff in bar no 1 mainly the Italian guy (sorry didn't catch his name) was really friendly

We had a great stay. Check-in lady was really friendly. Our room was lovely - we must have been upgraded to a superior room as this caused a bit of confusion at check-out as we did not request the upgrade but you attempted to charge us. We had booked via a Travelzoo deal which included a two night stay with an evening meal on the first night and breakfast on both days. The breakfast was okay. TBH, it doesn't match the standard of the hotel. Obviously, we did not expect to be able to choose from the full menu for the evening meal, but the choice was extremely limited (only two mains available) and the food was not good. In fact, I would have to say other than the Crème Brulee it was bad (Chicken Burger, Vegan Poke Bowl). We only paid £210 and we would have been happy with two nights stay and breakfast at that price. But if you are offering and eventing meal as part of a deal, maybe you could allow diners to upgrade the food options for a supplement. Just a thought! Having said all the above. Would I stay again. Definitely. Would i eat there again. No.

Hotel is lovely and is ideal to explore Bath. There were a few issues I had as a Diamond member, I didn't get my drinks voucher and I was charged for breakfast when weekend breakfast should be free. This was sorted when I emailed.
