So it was obvious to us that the hotel was severly short staffed as soon as we arrived.As we arrived through the entrance door the queue to check in was like a long snake with just one person checking in guests. We eventually got booked in and made our way to the room to freshing up after our journey and soon discovered no soap no body wash or any cleaning products within the room.So with a virus still alive you would think some soap in the rooms would be a basic thing,so we then had to try and find someone to see if we could borrow some products.If washing products are not to be provided please can the hotel notify the guests in advance so we can bring our on soaps etc. We then made our way down to the bar area to meet up with family and friends and stood for aleast 15-20 minutes waiting for staff to come to the bar to serve but no one came so again we went on the hunt for a employee.Also we had travelled and thought we would get a light snack at the hotel(this was 2.30pm-3pm) but were informed that no food was available and as the hotel did not supply snacks like crisps or peanuts we were going to have to wait till our evening meal which was 8.30pm.

Amazing pool and garden

Staff were lovely and the pool was incredible. However, we had to wait over 30 mins for the room to be ready despite being told it would be 5 mins on arrival. We arrived just before 2 so agreed we would check out half an hour later the next day (had to ask). Weren’t offered any drinks even though room was late which would have been a simple way to appease us. Next day we had housekeeping walk into the room at 12 without knocking and 10 minutes later maintenance knock on the door. Hardly any toiletries in the room. I requested some more but was told they didn’t have any.

Clean room. Coffee tray on the floor in a cupboard. Fridge unplugged.No complimentary water. Bar service needed at least one more person. Drinks basically presented, no sliced lime for rum. And coke. Buffet food service at event was OK. Excellent breakfast spoiled by lack of staff. One poor girl trying to do everything. Staff pleasant and helpful just not enough of them. Just about value for money
