I enjoyed the drinks and food from the bar and kitchen as well as breakfast. However I am dissatisfied and appalled at the management and house keeping of the place. There were no toiletries supplies( no hand and bathing soap etc) with the excuse that they waiting for delivery for weeks. This is poor management, this excuse has nothing to do with the customer. The customer has paid for a service hence needs to have value for money. With the pandemic and all going on, the hotel is actually breeding infections by this if guest cannot have soap to wash their hands after having a poo. Very shameful. Management should know and plan well and know that summer times are peak periods. Perhaps they need training because a guest should not be the one to tell you how to run a hotel. Shocking

Very poor. Booked 2 rooms for a family room. One was a family room and I requested a travel cot for my grandson. I had an email from Michaela confirming this would be provided. In one of the rooms was a made up bed settee. How could an 8 month old baby sleep in that? He ended up sleeping in his parents bed. We could have paid for a basic room if we'd known that. Standard of cleaning was poor. Plughole in bathroom was full of hairs. I was told to expect a call on Monday from the manager or Michaela but nothing. The receptionist told me she thought the room with the cot bed had been given to someone else. Due to lateness of check in and timing of wedding we didn't have chance to check the room. It would have been an acceptable gesture to offer a refund on the cost of the bigger room or a free breakfast but nothing. Won't be returning or recommending

Pleasant, small, spotlessly clean room with view of building opposite (73). Limited supply of toiletries and tea/coffee etc. Bed comfortable albeit a little firm. Walls a little thin. Very close to the town and public houses serving food. Would recommend the Cromwell. A free parking hotel in a town is worth the extra star. The receptionist who 'welcomed' us upon our arrival was very impatient and surly, what a shame .. one chance to make a good impression.

The hotel was nice and a great location. We had a refurbished room which looked nice but not done to a very high standard (paint/wallpaper coming off, something on the shower broke etc.). What should have been cold water from the tap was always warm, and the room was very stuffy and hot so it would definitely benefit from aircon or at least a fan should be provided.
