All the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the hotel. My room was excellent - clean and tidy and larger than expected, as I was placed in an executive double; many thanks for that. Breakfast was lovely and I'll be coming back soon, to stay midweek for business once again.

looks great on the outside, let down by everything else

the room was miles away in a very poorly signed rout, twice I got lost coming out. the doors in the halls bang and clatter no matter how gentle you are so other guests moving around can be heard all night long. the bed was two large singles pushed together but not the same height?, the bathroom was dated and the bath looked dirty, had a shower and the marked dirty shower curtain kept sticking to me due to a draft which I couldn't work out where it was coming from. the kettle had water inside still, the cups were odd and had marks on them, there was staining up the wall and on the celling? the breakfast was poor...don't cook and then let sit mushrooms in oil, its disgusting. the scrambled egg was grey! customer service was no existent at front he desk and at breakfast you were basically ignored. needless to say I will not ever stay here again!

The hotel has a feeling of faded grandeur, but it was nice and clean, and the staff were very pleasant and helpful in all areas. Both dinner and breakfast were good. Overall a pleasant stay.
