Beautiful hotel Staff were very helpful at reception the bar and at breakfast My only gripe was the room was far too hot despite the window being open or air conditioning on which made it an uncomfortable nights sleep. Such a shame as bed was very comfortable.

I paid more on arrival to upgrade room to find very small bathroom Rear room and would hate to think what first choice was like . As with most hotel groups you confuse the unknowing guest with king Queen superior Executive Club Suite . That it all becomes a nonsense. Was on a return to Manchester from5* Carbis Bay Hotel in Cornwall You had a relatively empty hotel and I feel you lost an opportunity to impress

Staff were friendly, polite and helpful - couldn't do enough for us. The room was slightly cramped around the bed area but the large spacious bathroom made up for it. Location was perfect for the town hall where we were going to a concert. Fabulous stay all in all.

Happy with our stay but room small and we should have asked for a chair we only had a stool. The shower is best I've ever used so easy to use press button and it works

The hotel is well located to explore Cheltenham. There is an overpriced car park. The staff are its greatest asset, friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast.The room was a good size, the bed comfortable. However certain aspects of the room (301) were poor. Very limited hanging space. It was only possible to hang three coat hangers side by side. The wardrobe area needs re configuring. Nowhere to hang wet coats. We had to hang them on the folded up ironing board. The bathroom window frame was in a very poor rotten state and there was mould on the inside. The window needs replacing. A very scruffy bathroom blind , ripped lining and threads hanging. A hole in the quilt cover. Staff were informed of our concerns and those which could be were dealt with immediately. A special treat turned into a sad disappointment.

This was our 3rd stay at the hotel for your New Years dinner/stay. Whilst the staff were very friendly and helpful as always the NYE dinner was not to the standard of previous years but the most disappointing aspect was the DJ who was unable to keep people on the dance floor for more than 3 tunes. The buffet on Saturday evening was much more limited than previous stays and worst of all a number of dishes were cold (especially the Lasagne!) Overall the stay was slightly disappointing and whilst we will be coming for the racing again next year we may be staying elsewhere.

Anniversary stay Beautiful hotel. Room not good enough. Sparse, dull and a terrible view. Light fitting was full of dust and insects. Probably bunged into the worst room as we booked through a 3rd party agent. Didn’t feel like a special event at all.

Had a lovely stay, the staff were very organised and friendly even though under extreme pressure due to sickness and staffing levels. The room was lovely and staff could not do enough for you, however the ceiling in the bathroom needs a little attention due to peeling paint.

It was my son’s 50th birthday so it was especially nice to walk into the room and see the champagne and chocolates waiting for us … it made the stay more memorable. We have stayed at the hotel a few times now and we love it (in fact I recommended it and my friend and her Mum stayed with you last year). The staff were welcoming and the breakfast scrumptious. Thank you.

Hotel location facilities, location and staff are worthy of a higher mark than an 8. However, the quality of the cooked full English breakfast was really poor! The sausage was barely edible. Felt like poor quality ingredients were used.

This is a potentially classy hotel set in a great central/Montpelier location and I feel the managers and staff know it. I felt they just did enough to remind you of the unique and classy features of the hotel but really it's a pretty ordinary experience and not worth the money. We stayed in a superior room so the bed was big and comfortable. There were no drawers in the room and we had to ask for coat hangers so we could use the wardrobe. There were towelling robes to use but no slippers so it was cold walking around on a tiled bathroom floor and uncomfortable on carpet. Bathroom was only functional - toiletries provided for one not two and I honestly have had a better shower standing in a bath at a Premier Inn. Despite backing onto the carpark the room was quiet other than when the guests in the next door room were in when it was way to noisy of £200+a night. The breakfast was included thankfully as it wasn't worth £17.50 each. The croissants were stale, cooked breakfast portions meagre, coffee was not ad lib and I felt a sense of annoyance as we asked for me since the pots' size reduced each time we asked. Car parking was a nightmare but we got in after waiting for 20 minutes. I suggest you persevere. Although we appreciated the location, I would look for better value next time I visit Cheltenham.

We feel like regulars here. It's very familiar and we get our favourite requested room. We were very sorry to be here without the delightful Kasha in Victoria's Restaurant, although Greg may very well fill the gap she's left. Also, I feel that Mr Uray moving on was a surprise, too. We'll miss his welcoming, warm and professional manner. He was a real plus for this hotel. I was a little bit surprised that the new manager didn't introduce himself to us--we were treated as VIPs otherwise. However, Vicki on reception made up for any lack of FOH attention.

Welcoming staff. The ALL app bug unresolved. Did not get members rates when 2 rooms are booked at the same time. Hotel refused to honor the discount. Car park limited space Ev chargers blocked by none EV. Hotel could not do anything about it.
