Friendly staff at check in and, when we complained about our room being smelly, we asked to be moved and it was done without complaint. In fact we were upgraded, which was lovely given that I had explained it was my husband's birthday treat.

We only stayed one night but had a wonderful stay. We arrived early and left our luggage and headed into town. When we returned the receptionist knew us by name recognising us immediately. She gave us our key and a quick tour and told us that our bag was already in our room. W stayed in a superior room which was lovely with a great view down the High st. The plate of petit fours were delicious and a nice touch. The location was excellent with some quirky bars and good restaurants within a two minute walk. Breakfast was one of the best, if not the best we have had, and the gluten free selection was especially welcomed by myself as I have to eat and strict gf diet. The breakfast waiter was as friendly, and professional as the receptionist we had met the day before. Overall an excellent stay, and I look forward to our return visit in the summer.

Lovely room and surroundings, although a bit noisy overlooking the road. Poor water pressure from shower. Rather slow and unfriendly service at breakfast, although quality of food was good.

From check in to check out, the staff were all excellent. A beautiful building and a very comfortable room.

Room good and food very good. Unfortunately the issue of there being no firm pillows persists. And firm should mean firm.

I always stay at the Queens. Great service, especially at breakfast time. Staff have demonstrated their willingness to be flexible. I may have a future requirement to ring ahead for a room with a desk (not the round table by the window) following three days of training last week.

The rooms are fine but my room was quite warm due to large heating pipes running along the floor and because the windows cannot be opened very far. Other than that a nice stay.

I prepaid on arrival.. Partner left early to go home Asked receptionist to use my points as part payment..he refused..saying I should have done so when booking..which is not correct as I received an email stating I could ask at reception.. There were no face cloths in the bathroom and no complimentary slippers to wear.. Stain on my dressing gown

I am writing this on behalf of my parents who stayed at The Queen's Hotel to celebrate my Father's 90th birthday, they both thoroughly enjoyed their 2 night stay in a bright, spacious, stylish deluxe room with surprisingly good views of Cheltenham and the hills beyond. The stunning staircase was beautifully decorated for Christmas, a hidden gem, and the public rooms are attractive and relaxing. Thank you for the special birthday treats in their room and for the excellent service throughout the hotel, all the staff were welcoming and charming, making their brief stay extra special.

Lovely room in a lovely hotel. Great location. Dinner was slightly disappointing as we were on a dinner included deal and most of the choices were a supplement but breakfast was lovely so overall a very good experience.

Expedia are the agents potential guests may generally use directly from the Queens web site. The hotel, the accommodation, the Staff and dining are all without doubt very good. Unfortunately, we needed to seek a change after we'd booked the accommodation. Queens couldn't help as the booking was with Expedia. Now try and find a telephone number or some practical help from this company. Useless would be a generous term to describe them. We'll visit Queens and Cheltenham again, but make sure we speak to the booking Staff at the hotel.

Hotel and room great. location perfect. Service in Bar (evening) and restaurant (breakfast) was very slow. Had to ask for hot drinks at breakfast several times and for order to be taken. Speed in bar was painfully slow with only one staff member most times.

We stayed at her Queens for one night and it was lovely, just what we needed a relaxing stress free stay in a charming, exceptionally clean and friendly hotel. The one thing that we found a little unbearable was how hot the bedroom was!! it was November but a mild evening and even with the window open the room was stiflingly hot, we were on the 3rd floor. Apart form this the room was comfortable with all of the amenities we needed, it was clean and fresh.

We had a lovey weekend away. The room was spacious and overlooked the prom-great for lights being turned on. The only thing that interrupted our sleep was how hot the room was even with windows open. Also it would have been good to have the hand held part of shower with a higher hook on the wall to make it easier to shower without wanting the rain part on.

Very relaxing and enjoyable. Check-in and check-out was extremely efficient. The staff, regardless of function, could not have been more helpful and polite. All meals were extremely good. This presumably is a listed building, so dependant on room, expect some external noise due to the attractive and historical sash windows, but this does not detract from the overall experience, which I would certainly recommend.

Room was above expectation. Some noise from the exaust outside vent, but was ok. Breakfast was a little below expectation after room set high standard, but was ok. Staff was friendly, a bit hurried due to volume of work.
