Everything was great with this hotel, the dinner we had was very good food. The pool being open was a big big plus and the staff were really friendly and helpful. I can not comment on the breakfast as we missed it! (for which we was refunded A+++) However i do think 9am is a little too early to stop breakfast. Overall would recommend this hotel, really enjoyed our stay. Thanks

We stayed overnight as part of a spa package. We were aware facilities were limited. The use of the gym & pool was good & we had massages which were amazing. Staff throughout were extremely helpful & covid measures were impressive. Unfortunately the big let down was the food at both dinner & breakfast. A starter of BBQ chicken wings came and it was clearly frozen wings with a sachet of BBQ sauce! The calamari rings were unrecognisable. All in all it was a pleasant stay but the food was bad.

I have stayed at your complex many times but during my last stay was very bad many people shouting and and partying the stay was not very pleaseant and resulted in very little sleep i have stayed there 20 times plus

We had a very comfortable stay having a privilege room although the mattress was a little too hard for our liking. The measures taken with regards to COVID 19 operated very well. Very clean with ample sanitisation receptacles. The staffing levels need to be improved within the restaurant we waited 20 minutes before a member of staff came to see us and show us to a table for our evening meals. PLEASE NOTE that this was not the fault of the staff (Anna, Mohamad and Louise) who were running around trying to please and serve everybody. Because of shortage of staff this entailed a long wait. Breakfast service was also very slow. There was no draught beer in the bar with no explanation only bottled beers.

Good wasn’t great ie 2course meal AND breakfast bottle beer was out of date milk in our room was out of date and wasn’t told the spa was closed and to make it worse we’ve booked and PAID for our wedding here

Arrived at the hotel and was greeted by a friendly male receptionist who explained the new procedures currently in place very clearly and professionally. Our large, comfortable bedroom was spotless and every effort had been made to ensure the safety of the guest. A choice menu was offered for dinner and breakfast and was served by friendly and efficient staff in the lovely restaurant both at dinner and breakfast. The restaurant was very well spaced out for guest comfort and safety. Very well done to the team at Norton Grange, you should be proud of how well you are coping during these times, your General Manager must be very proud of you all.

Clean hotel.

Reception was good. Room was very clean. Gym wasn't the best. No free weights. Still good for a small workout and also clean. Food from the restaurant was not good at all. Calamari was like mash and no tartar sauce available.(Had to use Mayonnaise), Small prawns were over cooked and the breakfast was also bad. Sausage was burned and over cooked, Egg was over cooked. The staff was very friendly. I would stay there again as the hotel itself was good and clean but would not use the restaurant.

The staff could not do enough for us, extremely friendly. The only negative comment I can make is although we were having a spa break the spa relaxation area wasn’t open for drinks and food. Luckily we took a few snacks etc and had them for lunch on the 2nd day, if not we would have been left all day without a meal. The main bar wasn’t open properly until after 5pm so we had to ask at reception just for a coffee

Stayed for one night with a friend, made full use of the spa facilities and ordered room service. The shutter was broken in the spa so we didn't get to enjoy the spa pool that opens out into the countryside which was a shame as that was part of why we chose this spa/hotel. But otherwise was a great time and we'll definitely book again for our next night away.

Very comfortable room, very friendly helpful staff,but VERY overpriced for a single person, attending a family function Once again, an example of the penalty single people have to pay when staying in hotels- no fault of the Mercure Manchester hotel.How about having some small no frills ,cheaper priced rooms for single travellers ?All in all a comfortable convenient , pleasant stay.

We landed early from our flight and was able to check in at 12.30. The telephone and shower where broke in the first room we were given, after speaking to reception, they changed our room with no issues and the second room was as good as the first but with a working phone and shower. We made a dinner reservation but unfortunately slept through it, bloody jetleg.

On arrival, the hotel location was a great surprise. Parked and looked out on a field of sheep.wonderful. Then went into a nice room and a warm if not to say hot spa, then into a very pleasant dinner. Unfortunately breakfast didn't match our stay,but over all we were not disappointed If the need arises, I/we would be happy to repeat the experience.

We had our 60th wedding anniversary party with you. All but one matter went extremely well and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening BUT , it turns out, there was a very serious omission on your part. Whilst my wife and I , together with several members of the family , actually registered and stayed overnight at the hotel, most people came as visitors. SOME of these were requested to register their vehicles but, apparently, this was not mentioned to everyone.. Consequently at least three couples later received notice of parking fines of £100 ! (There could be others) I have already spoken to Carol King about this matter and pointed out to her the inadequacy of information regarding the need to register. People coming into the Hopwood Suite would easily pass ( and not see) notices on toilet doors. I am not aware that there were notices in the main room at all. As I pointed out to Carol, all that would have been necessary would have been, once all were in the room, an announcement to the effect that it was essential that all vehicles be registered. These demands of £100 Have left a sour and upsetting sequel to what had been such an enjoyable evening. I might also point out the following. One of the people involved has a disabled badge, a second was in a distressed situation with a son dying of cancer. Because we had asked for no presents but suggested donations to two named charities , all three couples had made substantial donations. To then be asked for fines of £100 is outrageous. I would hope that you can put things right and quash these demands; if their are some technical reasons for ParkingEye refusing then I would hope that you yourselves can see your way to compensating my friends.
