A few days away Check in was quick and effortless the room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. The hotel overall is very good nice bar although at times very cold breakfast was tasty and the staff very pleasant and very centrally situated. We will definitely stay again

No hot water when we arrived for a few hours. It would have been nice to have been offered a complimentary drink or breakfast for the inconvenience. Only 2 English breakfast teas, 2 biscuits and 2 shower gels - don’t enough when you are travelling.

First room we were given had faulty bathroom door handle, moved to another room which had one not two chairs, informed reception twice to no avail, room not cleaned during the two nights we stayed, had to request fresh towels, overall the rooms feel average despite having booked 'privelidge' room at extra cost. The hotel is in a good location and gym and pool are good, the restaurant again average, not great service or quality of food. Parking awkward.

Was told on arrival that they had no hot water, this was very disappointing as we was looking forward to using the spa facilities, afterwards you would like to take a hot shower. The hot water did not come on until 18.00 hours, and the water was brown! Not once was we offered any sort of compensation.

Room is very large, comfortable bed and very clean. Only problem was it was too hot and couldn’t seem to work the thermostat. Great breakfast, particularly liked the range of fresh fruit and appreciated good coffee. Just outside the hotel are loads of restaurants and shops are nearby. You can load and unload outside hotel door and park in a safe and well lit car park a few minutes walk away. It is expensive though at £14 overnight with the hotel discount. The spa seemed nice and the pool is a good size for swimming. However, it is not accessible if disabled as down a few flights of stairs.

Amazing location and good hotel overall, marred completely by a room that is too hot and where guests have no control over the settings. The contols are centrally set and adjusted to the outside temperature - which is ironic when there are no opening windows and the inside temperature bears no relation to it! With an additional fan also on and no covers, it was still too hot to sleep. In addition to this, the water in the bath, shower and basin was a disgusting murky red colour.

Furniture in the room looks tired, we only had one door on our wardrobe, loud clock tower outside. For some reason we were given a room with an accessible bathroom, great for if you use a wheelchair but if you don't the sink is too low.Breakfast was good though.

Stayed one night on business. Generous room, well equipped. Unfortunately the water from the bath taps ran brown, and despite running it for several minutes it didn't clear. Was locked out of the room at about 8 the next morning when the key stopped working.

Great location, superb breakfast, nice big room. But cannot open the windows and the room was way too hot and the climate control didn't seem to do anything. That's all I'm going to write athough TA wants 200 characteers, so here they are.

Noisy smelly room

On arrival was pleased to be told that I had received a free 'upgrade'. The room was a good size and had a good view over Sheffield. However the noise from the elevator kept me awake, and the smell of drains from the bathroom was foul. Did not complain on the day as I had business to attend to, but am drawing to your attention now.

Brown water and no tab

The water was brown. When I rang reception she said to leave it running for 7 mins. I did leave running for longer and didn’t stop the problem. I’m heavily pregnant, so could only get a bath and had to make do, as it was too late by the time I’d been running the water for so long and too late for me to ask to move rooms. Ordered Room Service and signed for it to be charged to my card if given on Check-In, like I do globally for all business trips and the concierge had to return later for me to have to use a card machine, with the same card. This was inconvenient, as I was late and I couldn’t pay on Check-out, apparently. The room for the price was very basic, with no art on the walls. Overall, not a great experience.
