The hotel was lovely. The only thing is I had booked bed and breakfast and dinner included aswell. I checked in and the Receptionist said dinner started at 5.30pm, he asked if i would like to book a table so I said yes 5.30pm would do fine. So I go to the restaurant at 5.30pm and there are no other guests and no staff members around. I went back to the Reception and advised him so he went to speak to the person in the Champagne Bar. They advised that dinner doesn't start till around 6pm. They said I could eat at the Champagne Bar. I asked was it the same menu and they said yes. But of course they didn't know all the ins and outs of the dinner, bed and breakfast package so they had to go and find out/ The food was lovely but just feel that the communication should be better between different departments. The Reception should not say 5.30pm if its not 5.30pm. It left me feeling really awkward and that I was doing something that no one had ever done before

We stayed at St Paul's hotel the night before and the night of our wedding day. We stayed in the executive suite and the whole of our stay was faultless. The room was spotlessly clean and decorated with rose petals...a lovely touch. The space is huge with fantastic views over Sheffield's peace gardens. More than enough space for family and wedding helpers. The staff on reception.. particularly Robyn and Lewis... we're so helpful, kind and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was perfect.. fantastic porridge! And all the staff friendly and helpful. Loved spending time in the spa...a relaxing atmosphere. I would 100% recommend the hotel for a stay in Sheffield and will definitely be returning. Thank you for making our wedding day extra special.

Lovely room. Clean and spacious. Sadly The breakfast was very disappointing. The cooked breakfast should be served freshly made in a hotel of this standard. - the cooked food was cold. Fruit salad was tasteless and hard. Frozen berries were very sour. Went elsewhere for breakfast after our first experience.

Bit dated

Hotel rooms are feeing a bit dated. The decor, furniture and amenities need refreshing. The hairdryer my wife used sounded terrible on day 1 and packed up on day 2. The air conditioning controller did not seem to do anything, the dial just spun round with no change in temperature. Generally it just made a lot noise and did not really cool the room.
