We loved our room and the very stylish soft furnishings. We slept very well The staff were very friendly especially Lawrence on reception. Breakfast however, was a bit of a shambles. There were no plates, bowls, orange juice or bread when we entered. Beans were congealed in the bottom of the pan and the on ladle, not at all appetising. Consequently we didn’t eat much. We mentioned it on checkout and we weren’t charged, rightly so, but we would have preferred a decent breakfast before our drive home. That said, we would stay here again. Difficulties happen, but it’s how they are dealt with that matters. This was handled well so we were left with a good impression.

Hotel tired both suite and common parts cracked sink, one radiator not working, shower over bath leaking Disappointing breakfast. On return I checked our credit card statement to find we were charged FULL payment plus £105.00 on the day we arrived, we were then charged correct amount on departure. I phoned the hotel today to be advised this is company policy and monies would be refunded in 5 days, it would have been appreciated to have been told this on arrival.

Upon arrival the receptionship made you very welcome. The rooms are well designed with a large en-suite, a comfortable bed plus all the amenities. As a welcome in the room were some petit fours which were delicious. The hotel has a bar and a restaurant with all the staff making you welcome. The breakfasts was excellent with all types available.

Lovely hotel in beautiful setting. Close to the Grand Canal with plenty of local walks. The room was very comfortable, evening meal and breakfast were delicious. The hotel appeared quiet but that was probably due to the current issues we are having with the virus. The staff were very attentive and polite and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Room was beautiful. Location great. Great nights sleep. The service was poor however - very well intentioned colleagues but lack of management or too few means that service was disjointed and poor - long delays, missing products from orders etc. Shame, if this were resolved it would be a great stay.

This was a birthday gift for me and it was magical. The room was lovely with a HUGE comfortable bed with lovely fresh bedlinen. The shower was fantastic. The breafkast was delicious and the hotel had catered for every taste. The staff were efficient and friendly. The Reception had a jar of licorice all sorts for the guests - the freshest I have ever tasted. Such a great visit. I imagine that the area surrounding the hotel would be beautiful in spring and summer. We were visiting in February!

We had the best and friendliest welcome by Charlotte. My sister and I were celebrating my 60th birthday and she couldn’t have done more. Our room was gorgeous and Charlotte made sure we were as close as possible to our cousin’s room. Spotless and recently renovated, the hotel was perfect. Antonio looked after us so well with Melissa in the lounge bar. Making sure we were always extremely happy. How could we not be? Their breakfast was a delight too. We checked out with Natalie who was also very friendly. A big thank you to all your lovely staff. We will definitely return. It’s all too lovely to miss!

This hotel has a lot going for it but is let down by 1) a kitchen which cannot cope with even half the number of diners in the restaurant and b) staff who are very pleasant but lack training. We also understand that tips left for the waiting staff go to the company, not the staff.
