Very good venue . Rooms were very well appointed with everything that you would need. Meals were delicious from the extensive buffet breakfast to the relaxed dinner in the evenings. Staff were also very helpful with suggestions for things to do around the area. Enjoyed our stay here very much.

The room was wonderful. But we most enjoyed the incredible hospitality of the staff. Every single one helpful and joyful, great compliments to them. If there's one note of attention. At our sink there was one night no other choice tan between hot and extremely hot water. At the shower the water remained relatively cold

An easy place to stay, the food was good, the staff were very pleasant. Our only complaint was that we asked for our heater in the bathroom to be fixed on three separate occasions and it was not seen to.

Lovely surroundings, delicious food - with excellent service. Very much enjoyed the spa experience - good , clean facilities (although the massage was rather short - 20 minutes at most - out before the half hour was up and that was with changing time etc). VEry comfy beds, good control of heating and lighting ... nice bathroom. Extremely noisy corridor almost all night really spoilt the experience and would make me reluctant to return. (not the hotel's fault)

Generally very good but experience let down by poor bar service. Most people behind the bar seemed to be deeling with guests in the restaurant leaving only 1 person serving. On one occasion I was informed, incorrectly as it turned out, that i had to register my credit card at reception before I could charge to my room. I had already done this at check-in so all this achieved was to put me further back in the queue at the bar. The bar person did not even appologise for his mistake.

My friend and I stayed at Ardoe for a spa weekend in November. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Our room was lovely but a bit cold as the heating had not been switched on for our arrival and the temperatures outside was bitter cold. The food was beautiful. Breakfast and dinner was first class. We had a booked spa treatments for Saturday afternoon but when we turned up there had been a mix up between Spa Seekers and Ardoe and we had been booked in for the Friday! The girls in the spas did there best to sort it out and we did receive our treatments on the Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning which were total bliss!! Lovely break and we’ll be back. We would recommend Ardoe very highly.

It was nice - a few minor things at the room. The mirror in the bathroom was very low - I could see my knees quite clearly. The room was also very cold when I arrived (10ish degree centigrade)

I waited 25 minutes for a variety of staff to find a cork screw to open the bottle of wine provided in the room without success. A manager solved the problem by providing a better bottle of wine with a screw top. This story begs a number of questions which staff and hotel management need to address.

Staff have too many language issues both with guests and clearly with each other as evidenced with problems on orders. Only Scottish member I experienced behind bar was rude and surly and clearly thought she was a cut above - she wasn’t! She needs re-training very soon as I was taken aback in how she treated me.

We have stayed on and off for the past 10 years but alas this visit it is more noticeable that simple cleaning duties are not being carried out.. The walls in our room had coffee splashes on one wall and what we are hoping is make-up on another. The young girl who serviced our room after our first night managed to "wash" one coffee cup but not the other. When walking along the corridor the heaters are not on so it was literally freezing. Alas most of the "friendly" staff don't work 24/7 s when dealing with others they really don't give much of a care to be fair. (the young receptionist on shift Monday and Tuesday is really in the wrong job)... Would we stay again... probably not...
