Staff were absolutely fantastic. Catered to my every need. Comfy bed, a great sleep and breakfast was wonderful. Clean, tidy, wanted to take the duvet home! From the moment I checked in until the moment I left nothing felt like too much trouble

Very convenient for Heathrow, the train station and the Thames path

Stayed for 1 night before an early pick up at Terminal 4 the next day, which was only 10-12 minutes drive away (at 5am). I have to say, the staff were very polite and friendly. This included the lady when I arrived early on the Saturday and I left the car there for the day, the lad who checked me in on the evening and the man at check out the following day. I did think that charging £10.00 for parking is unnecessary for paying guests, but in the same breath being able to leave the car parked up safe for 24 hours was convenient. I was allocated a room on the front which was very hot and due to facing the road was noisy when you opened the window. I went back down and requested a room on the rear of the building which was much quieter. Note that this costs an additional £15.00, although they let me have it complimentary which was good. Even so, unless you’re a heavier sleeper I’d pay the £15.00 and have a room on the back of the property. Clean, tidy, comfortable bed and a good nights sleep. I would stay again without hesitation.

Very poor interior maintenance

The room was not well maintained at all. There were so much mold at the ceiling of the toilet. In addition, most of electrical sockets did not work at all. Since the building doesn’t have a built-in central heating or air conditioning system, the sockets had no electricity for the portable heaters. First time having so bad experience with Mercure with years of loyalty with the hotel group.

Dear rf2401, Thank you for your review. I am sorry to read that you had a disappointing stay recently. I have shared your comments with my Maintenance manager to investigate the issue you highlighted in this rooms and to ensure all of them are in working order. I hope this will not deter you from staying with us and i hope you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future. Kind regards, Vijay Pampana

Quirky but not perfect

Arrived at Hotel with our dog which we paid £10 extra a night for him to stay, would have thought we would have been allocated a downstairs room, easy access for wee walks, oh no we literally was put on the top floor , which took is literally ages to walk to our room through a libarinth of staircases and walkways , I actually could not believe it. If you have stayed here you will understand. The room was so hot it was very uncomfortable, turned off all the heating , very small room, but quint, bed was lovely and comfortable and pillows were amazing. Nice large TV. We decided to have dinner at hotel, asked if needed to book , they said no, restaurant was closed but you can have same food in bar. What a mistake that was, had a pizza with added salami and mushrooms, chicken wings and chips. Awful, massive slabs of some kind of meat on pizza, hardly no sauce 3 chicken wings at £7.95 a go, and chips were dry., the server was new and I actually felt sorry for him, I asked if he could put some music on in bar area as it was new years eve, to give more of an atmosphere, as we were the only guests there, which he did. Literally was awake all night doors slamming everywhere, new years eve no sleep fine. If you want to go shopping , literally cross 2 crossings and shop till up drop, but no dogs allowed in shopping centre, takeaways, pubs restaurants, on your doorstep, lovely brisk walks along the Thames. Second night perfect night's sleep, Parking £10 a day , not bad for an accor chain, when you have shopping just over the road., Yes I would stay again, probably won't take my dog, as not everything in the area is dog friendly, and would not eat in their restaurant.

Dear stayaway701, Thank you for your review. Whilst i am pleased to read that you enjoyed the long walk along the river thames and the location was nice and central. I am sorry to read the difficulty you faced getting to and from the room due to stairs and no lifts. I made note in your booking to allocate a ground floor room for all your future stay. I also noted your comment about your dining experience in the hotel. I have shared your comments with the head chef to feed this back to his team and ensure such incidents do not reoccur. Once again thank you for taking the time for the review and we look forward to welcoming you back soon. Kind regards, Vijay Pampana

Good location. Basic hotel, lodge standard.

Texmexducks Couples - TripAdvisor review

Well located hotel. Rooms ok but nothing exceptional. Small but functional bathroom. Plenty of storage and good size tv. Heating radiator in room not functioning so had to request portable heater. Had requested a ground floor room as travelling with our dog. Considering we were charged extea for our dog we were given a room pretty much as far from entrance as possible so not sure any consideration was given to our booking request fir ground floor room at all. We're told we'd befn upgrade yo a larger room buf strangely it had an extra bed with served no purpose to us at all. Had this been a sofa bed it would have been much better and improved the comfort of ths room. Convenient car park. Charging £10per night. Although it has cctv would question how safe it is.
