It wasn't the best nights sleep in the world. Noise from outside and inside, and woken up by fire alarm at 4am. Location is great and the hotel is nice, but the rooms were drafty and the breakfast was chaotic. The staff seems almost disgruntled if you asked for toast or coffee, despite a 20 minute wait before anyone even comes available to request it.

There were plenty of guests on the weekend, but staff were very slow, probably not enough of them. We suffered fire alarms at 4:00am and were not offered tea / coffee and toast at breakfast. We did request it but it did not come. The state of your ladies loo at 9:30am on Sunday was disgusting. Two blocked and very soiled toilets, not a shred of toilet paper to be had and quite a lot of glassware on the floors and shelves. The hotel has a great location and is otherwise a nice-looking venue. This was a shame. Our relatives had recommended the hotel and also commented that service was much poorer on this occasion.

From the moment we arrived we were looked after by the staff. I would particularly like to say a massive thank you to Adrian. He went above and beyond. Service, room, facilities and food were all amazing. I would definitely recommend and would love to stay there again.

The hotel was good as always, service in the restaurant was excellent however the same can't be said about the housekeeping. Replacement tea bags & milk not left in the tray after first day, no face cloths on the third day & generally the overall housekeeping wasn't to the standard we have previously enjoyed at the Castle

I found the staff very friendly, courteous and attentive. The room was was clean and well presented, and I found the bed extremely comfortable - especially the pillows. The only fault I found was that the shower became very slippery and I slipped badly bruising my arm and back, maybe an anti slip may could be proveded.

Unable to sleep due to continual slamming of doors until 0200. Fire alarm evacuation 0400. Disappointed by lots of little things No biscuits in room . No do not disturb notice in room. Given wrong times for breakfast service twice by staff. Etc.

Good check in -baggage taken to room Excellent large room very clean and comfortable Bar and meals all good Breakfast-standard only -for the cost of hotel would have liked more personal service and to be offered options from menu rather than long cooked plated food -presume this was due to being part of conference and dissapointing as not offered My wife was staying with me and therefore at leaisure and noticed this more than myself

For a4⭐ hotel i would not expect a basic item to be missing from the breakfast tray "milk" this may not seem much and quite trivial but it stops you from having the cereals, tea and coffee ! This in itself could have been easily rectified had someone answered the phone as i tryed in vain for over an hour to contact reception and all other numbers untill they all rang out. I even called from my mobile which answered but then abruptly cut off!! The knock on effect of this persistent on my part corsed friction between myself and my partner which was not the desired effect i or my partner wanted for what was meant to be a relaxing Sunday morning .... Then the knock on the door from house keeping came, so i convade my problem to a very nice lady my problem of the lack of milk and the problem with contacting any body. She in reply said she would contact them on my behalf. I asume she did as i resieved a call from reception some 20min later, i made my complaint known to which i resieved appology and and was told i would not have to pay for my parking for that day as a way of an apology and for the inconvenience, all good you would think . But still no hot drink or cereal as no milk or hot refill was offered ??? At this point a gave up as we had wasted a good 2and 1/2 hours.. My partner desired to be left alone due to the friction the whole episode corsed all though i do not blame the hotel for my partners feelings to wards the way i was so persistent i do blame the hotel for the catalyst that started the whole event, the milk ... By the time my partner had calmed down some time later we eventually left the hotel to go for a walk ..all though slightly disharted due to the waisted time it was allready getting dark and all shops where closing but we did mange to get some hot drinks at a local coffee shop. 5.30pm ... So the lack of milk is not so trivial . We did some milk while we were out as 2 little milk that are left on the tea and coffee tray was not enough for one cup of tea ... So while at this point id like to add that if a room is booked for 2 (as a couple) id exspect two bathrobes not one in the room . there was allso no "do not disturb sighn" i had to request both . Allso i had to collect tea bags, a new breakfast order form as thers was non in the room . I will point out that the breakfast on the Monday morning was perfect, milk included . extra knifes so you dident have to clean you knife after eating so to use it for buttering toast, toast that was warm and extra napkins not just the ones to keep the toast warm. I have stayed at the Travelodge i have stayed at the Ritz , my point being you exspect a surten standed to wherever you stay , you standed from midnight to leaving on Monday was as i exspected and was of a high standed and was worthy of a 9 rating . But was very much let down by such a low standed in detail and communication on the Sunday. 1 rated So i gave you a 4 and that was mainly due to your housekeeping for being so polite and trying to please . The hotel room was clean and nice to stay, however the heating was not clear, it indicated 30° Celsius, while it was a bit chilly. Unfortunately, the meeting room on 19th November was a real fridge, the whole day long, which made it difficult to dress professionally ( 2 woolen sweaters to stay warm...).

Beautiful hotel, lovely spacious clean room and fantastic location. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired. Extremely slow check in and check out, and breakfast service was the worst breakfast I've ever experienced at a hotel. Slow service, non existent service and a buffet that was not replenished. Extremely disappointing. This feedback is for the hotel and I do not wish to leave negative feedback publicly as the hotel itself was lovely, it would just be good if the service could be improved
