The Novotel in Chirstchurch is well located, just off Cathedral Square. It's just a few blocks from the central shopping area, the Christchurch museums, and the botanic garden. The room was very clean and well appointed. I would consider this hotel if I were staying in Christchurch again.

couple items.... bed mattress had bad roll together; toilet location is very tight; very noisy from other rooms, doesn't seem to be any sound proofing.

Staying in Christchurch for a conference and the hotel is very close to the conference centre. It's very easy to get around Christchurch from this spot and the hotel amenities are great.

I booked with Bella over the phone, and then at reception. She was good to deal with. She tried to get a refund for my business partner having to cancel, due to a family accident. The refund was only partial, which was disappointing. My only other comment is the toilet is in one of the smallest places I have experienced, very badly designed. Thanks Hamish M.
