ibis Constantine 3 つ星

I have stayed in many Ibis hotels and this one is not up to the usual standard. On arrival very late at night (because of the timing of my flight), I had to pay for my room, but the receptionist's card payment machine wasn't working, and I only just scraped together enough cash for the first night. During my 2 night stay my room keyard failed three times necessitating another trip down to reception. There was no bin in either my bedroom or bathroom, just a folded brown paper bag for any rubbish. There were two bottles of water, but no glass or cup to drink from. The soap/shampoo dispenser in the shower cubicle was missing, although two small tubes were in the bathroom. The elevator was quite dark because one of the lights was out. Breakfast was pretty basic, but just about OK. Overall, an impression of standards slipping and a lack of good management. On the plus side, a very central location and a wonderful mountain view from my window.

Ibis hotels are much the same the world over. This one is fine, with comfortable rooms, a good buffet breakfast, and good wifi. The hotel's main selling point is that it is in a great location, right next to the indoor market and Bennacer Square.

Stayed in an Accor property after a long time (Covid...). My status is gone, and I am lowly Classique. Very polite and friendly front desk. However room is very small. No fridge, and no arrangement for coffee in my room. No amenities in the shower. Soap dispenser empty :(. Only two towels and no hand towels. Facilities are sub-par compared to unbranded local 3* properties even in south (Ghardaia, El Oued). Don't recommend this property.

Stayed here during our recent trip to Algeria and was very happy with the experience. The hotel is very clean and smart, and in an ideal location, right in the heart of Constantine. We made the most of the bar each night, either in the Ibis or next door in the adjoining Novotel. The rooms are comfortable enough for a budget hotel, although the curtain in our room needed repairing. We had a buffet breakfast each morning which was ok. The staff were very friendly and polite, so I would recommend this place if visiting wonderful Constantine.

This hotel has a great location that is convenient to markets and restaurants. It is a little worn out and room service was questionable. The room did not have a trash can when I checked in and I had to make a request for one. They first delivered the trash can and a few hours later, they delivered the trash can liner. The room also came with only 2 large towels, one of them I had to use as a shower mat. I would have expected some hand or face towels. The safe also did not work, it required numerous visits over several hours to get fixed. The front desk was very efficient for check in and check out but was not that helpful in providing directions-- I chalk this up to probably a language issue, I only spoke English.
