Dirty and Tired

I have stayed in a few ibis hotels now and have been quite impressed by the quality of them and from the photos, Ibis Brighton wouldn’t disappoint. It did. The downstairs hallway was nice and bright and open and had my hopes up; this was until we entered our room. The blinds were broken and left light coming in, in the morning. There was dust and hairs in the bottom of the cups (I didn’t have a drink after finding that); red staining to the shower head (which I removed with a anti-bac wipe) and just generally unclean. We booked a twin room although the beds were together and there was no sheet around the mattress just the mattress topper, which was a bit weird seeing an exposed mattress. The TV was small, unlike other Ibis hotels and the room was tired looking with stains on the wall and no plugs near the beds. Overall definitely wouldn’t be staying again (well until they hired a painter and decorator).
