We was in room 107, the next door to the left through the early to mate evening was making noise and banging on the walls. Extremely dissatisfied as it ruined our stay and we remained out in the town for as long as possible due to this.

We got the room early as planned, we got a newly refurbished room as requested which was modern and comfy, we would happily stay often if we could get this or similar room again, good onsite parking, good checkout time and for the money we paid very happy

In need of maintenance

Room doors don't close very well allowing light and noise through. Our room was in desperate need of maintenance, some new fittings, new carpet, a deep clean, etc.

Room needs a deep clean and painting

Staff were very friendly when checking in. However when entering the room it smelt strongly of cigarettes. The walls were dirty. The curtains had filthy marks all over them. There were patches of mould all over the room and the bathroom and paint was peeling from the ceiling. My husband and eye wiped everything down with antibacterial wipes as we weren't sure how well the room had been cleaned prior to our arrival. It was ok for 1 night but the room really needs a deep clean and a paint.

Comfortable and clean room and the hotel was very quiet at night which was great. Good basic hotel and value for money. Car park was jam packed but I parked round the corner for same price .

Reception staff were very friendly and very helpful, however... room 107 could do with a lick of paint and sockets either side of bed. The bathroom fan hardly worked. We stayed for 2 nights.. one of the lifts didnt have a light until the last morning. Cleaning staff even joked that they didnt like using that lift. Rooms need sound proofing especially when young guests are shouting, laughing & squealing. We banged on wall and told them to quieten down. sound proofing would solve this.. we didnt want to complain to reception as we totally understand that we all like to have fun .

Pretty much perfect stay in a welcoming hotel in a brilliant location. All staff were very good and the covid 19 guidelines were followed perfectly with practically no interruption to a normal hotel stay. Highly recommended.

When we arrived our room had some lights out and when we spoke to the two ladies Leanne and LIv they arranged another room immediately and were very accommodating to us for our stay. Nothing was too much and their friendly and open approach was a credit to the company.

No spaces in car park on arrival, had to park further away. Remote missing, receptionist was great and we moved rooms. Ended up up and downstairs for the first part of stay when we just wanted to relax after journey. Hygiene in the hotel generally was good. Some of the rooms would benefit from a deep clean in bathroom under sink, toilet area. Sausages at breakfast are cheap and not much choice for the price. It was hot though. Bar staff attentive and good system in place for cleaning. It was OK for night away but would probably choose premier inn next time. Staff were doing their best.

On 3 September 2020 I booked and paid for 4 rooms at a cost of £488. On 3 October 2020 I cancelled 1 room. To date I have not received any notification of a refund for the sum of £122. My party duly arrived on 10 10 2020. In all 3 rooms the bathroom door bottom edge was splintered and broken. One of the rooms had 3 hairline cracks in the wash basin. Two of the rooms had badly stained carpets. Another had hair in the bathroom indicating that this room had not been properly cleaned. The double rooms were supplied with a single plastic chair. The towels in the rooms were not of a quality to dry adequately. I discovered, after I was soaking wet, that there was no shower gel in the holder. I have taken photographs of the faults where possible and will forward these should you wish. While I was at reception a guest came to request toilet paper for her room. After returning to the hotel on a Saturday evening I was somewhat dismayed to note that signs indicated that the bar would close at 10pm. However the bar actually closed at 9.30 pm. I witnessed at least 2 customers who were refused service before 9.50 pm. You will wish to note that the staff members were polite and welcoming. I welcome your observations on the above comments and ask that you respond without delay.

Having re-booked due to the lockdown, my wife and I were very impressed with the measures taken at the Ibis. Our room was spotlessly clean and all the public areas were well signed with plenty of sanitisation available. The hotel is really very well located, only a few minutes walk into the city centre. The staff were really lovely, very friendly and helpful. It was not the first time we have stayed here and it will not be the last.
