Pullman Bangkok King Power 5 stars

We enjoyed a 12 night stay with the Pullman Bangkok King Power and I have to say we are very impressed. Our preferred hotels in Bangkok up util now have been along the river but this has now changed. The hotel from arrival is first class, the staff helpful and the arrival process simple and fast. Our room (222) was comfortable with a balcony overlooking the gardens, a lovely place to relax and very quiet, although more wardrobe space would have been appreciated! The dining in the hotel is amazing with the breakfast buffet and seafood buffet providing a huge range of choices and everything was delicious. Special thanks to Pu at the breakfast buffet who was particularly attentive in serving us each morning. The lounge area in the evening was also a welcome inclusion with a range of light meals and snacks and drinks. The area is comfortable although not huge, so it can become crowded. The pool area is very nice but we found the pool temperature to on the cold side! Unusual in Bangkok. It was very refreshing though. The location is excellent - close to the BTS Victory Monument station and with lots of local shopping and food options. It was very easy to get around the city with the BTS so close. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Great facilities and fantastic staff!

Staff was friendly, helpful and courteous. The accessibility features for wheelchair users are good. One suggestion is to have a bigger shower chair as the one fixed to the wall is rather small and does not provide much stability. An additional grab bar installed near the shower chair would be good for users to hold while standing or transferring.

I had a pretty good stay at Pullman Hotel. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful with our needs. The room was well furnished and sufficient. However, the shower facilities needed to be better maintained. The water pressure is quite weak and despite that, the shower cubicle flooded daily, making it seem quite unsanitary. Daily breakfast buffet spread was basic and did not vary daily, but still good enough for a quick breakfast before a busy day ahead.

Need major improvements - there was no plug point anywhere close to the bed and no USB option to charge the phone, it was the most unpleasant surprise I have ever received. We came so tired and the first thing we did was to go out and get the charger, least expected from the 5 star hotel. If you can't provide, you should make it clear on the website coz that's the last thing a tourister want to do in the foreign land. Also, please have people who can understand English, we had received a voucher to spend on dinning and when we went there, the lady said that I can't redeem as it's mentioned dinning only and her understand of dinning was dinner :( I had to involve receptionist, who made us sit outside the dinning area (felt like an outcaste) . These was not definitely not pleasant and I don't think I would like to come back again. However, a big thank you for letting us check-in early, that was really nice as we came with a baby and the people at front end were very sweet to deal with!
