A brief stay in a well located hotel. Room perfectly clean and tidy if a tad tired- edges chipped, burn marks on sink vanity unit - but ideal for the price.

Paid for early check-in. Got there at to be told check in is at 2pm. I explained I had paid for early check in and had to show my own paper copy of the booking confirmation. We were offered complimentary drinks while we waited for our room. A further hour passed, no room was ready. I asked again why the delay and was told the delay this time was as we had book an accessible room, it was not ready yet. Once again I showed my own paperwork which says 1 double bedded room. Your member of staff apologised.... 90 minutes after our arrival, we were finally allocated our room. How can it go so wrong?

Have stayed here many times before and really enjoyed it. Found the cleanliness a little disappointing this stay. Checked in and went straight out for a concert, when we returned later in the evening we found the bedside table had sticky marks from a previous occupant and a very large biscuit crumb. The room could not have been wiped down since the last person had stayed which is not acceptable in the current situation. We simply went to bed and tried to be careful and not use things which we didn’t have to, as it was too late to be hassled with going back to reception to try and change rooms. Normally we stay here every time we stay in Nottingham however after this stay I do have concerns about using the hotel again.

Great hotel and pleasant and courteous staff. Quiet room on 5th floor. Very warm in room but very humid outside at the time of our stay. Convenient for tram and buses directly outside of hotel.

Was given a brilliant room to start with but, as it hadn't been cleaned, I was moved to one which wasn't as nice! Shame as I didn't mind waiting. Anyway, the guy at reception (a young black guy with cool hair) was nice enough to give me a drink voucher. Anyway, the new room was really warm at night so I opened the window, although as I'd moved rooms I then had the noise from Nottingham's frivolous party animals all night! Then I found the window wouldn't shut so I didn't get much sleep I'm afraid. So didn't work out this time but your staff were nice and I think they tried to give me a really nice room to start with (I'd asked for somewhere high and quiet when I booked). Nice try though :)

Arrived at Nottingham Ibis on Sat 4/09 to Room 500 (disabled) on 5th floor. Spent two days & nights like dogs trapped in an airless car, parked in hot sun before having to complain: the room had floor to ceiling glass (no opening windows/vents) and the temperature control system was not working. It was unbearably hot over 30 degrees C at worst. Complained Mon morning to young male receptionist (could have been a manager) who kindly said he would arrange for a different room with a window which would be available from 2pm. So, went to reception around 2pm to be met by a different male staff member - afro caribbean with dreadlocks- who clearly had not a clue how to operate the IT to facilitate the changeover. A female member of staff assisted him to navigate the system. He was offhand and rude (kept calling her madam but the tone to her was sarcastic not a polite form of address). His parting comment to my wife was that this room change was costing the hotel money and warned her not to ask for a further room change! My wife felt this remark was totally inappropriate - bearing in mind we had suffered 2 horribly hot days in the room before complaining. The room we ended up in 519, did have a part opening window but still was overheated since the air ventilation system only worked on our last day, 9th, which IF it was controlled remotely for the hotel elsewhere was unbeliveably stupid - we were suffering the heatwave that week and someone could have died in that disabled room of heat exhaustion. This problem needs a serious review. This was our 3rd trip to this Ibis but because our experience this time - we will not be staying there again.

Pleasant with no problems. Easy online check in and arrival. Pre-authorisation taken on the credit card seems a bit steep at £60 for a £70 a night stay.

Stayed for a 3 night stag do, great location but quite basic and dated. Fine if you just need somewhere to sleep. Friendly and helpful staff.

I have stayed in ibis hotels numerous times over the years, a very loyal customer. But in Nottingham Ibis, the TV didn't work properly - every channel un-watchable interference on sound and vision. Aircon didn't work, though that was key reason for choosing Ibis. Stair carpet rather shabby, dirty in places - we always prefer stairs to lift, for exercise reasons, and even more so during Covid. Staff lovely though, so maybe it was poor managemente and/or lack of investment. We did appreciate gluten-free bread and cereal at breakfast, as my partner has coeliac disease.

Great location, value for money. Perfect for our group of 12 golfers

My stay was fine, well located for what I needed. Some dirt in the room but overall a clean place. The room had everything I needed but the air cooling didn't work great so it was very warm!

Requested ground floor room when booked via phone. Upon arrival this hotel does not have ground floor rooms! Other than that and no bin in the room (only a bathroom bin) the room was comfy, cool and adequate.

Stayed for my daughters graduation. The hotel was very reasonably priced, convenient location, clean and efficient. The only hotel we could find that offered 9am check-in. Staff seemed very friendly. I would highly recommend.

Guy on check in desk was friendly and helpful. Dropped our bags and did a quick change, ate out, went straight to bed when we got in. Next morning realised how dirty the room was!

When checking into room it was noticed small red Mark's on outer duvet when pulled back it was revealed to be blood stains and a cigarette burn .we took pictures and went to reception to complain they offered to change sheets obviously the room had not had a complete clean and bed had just been remade

I liked the hotel a lot, despite the unfortunate incident on arrival, when the receptionist tried to put me into a wrong room, inferior to the one I had booked. It was cleared quickly enough, though. Other than that, my stay was comfortable, and I was favourably impressed by the simple efficiency of the decor. The bathroom was clean and in an excellent working order. A small fridge in the room would have been nice.
