Well located but No Maintainence in the rooms

Hotel is well located but rooms are quite old and not maintained. Furniture is old, TV is small and bathroom equipment is leaking for the shower. It seems like it is not a 5-star hotel Buffet breakfast was average

What is expexted of a 4 star chain hotel. It is clean, comfortable, well placed with all normal amenities. The position right across the Danube from the beautiful Parliament building and the waterfront promenade a big pluses for this hotel.

I had a first floor Executive Room which was clean and large enough for two adults and a seven year old. In the price of the room there were included some drinks (water and juice) and coffee. If you come by car, you can park it for a cost in the hotel's parking or on the street if it's weekend (free parking). The hotel is close to the metro station so you can get accross the Danube to Pest very easily. The breakfast was fine. I also used the restaurant for a late dinner when I arrived. It provided good value.

The receptionist was not quite friendly during my check-in. So, my first impression was not so good. The TV was not functioning. The light at the desk was also not functioning. The bathroom (shower) smelled not very good. The bed was perfect and the room itself was also in a good Novotel standard. The room was to cold and the heating system was blocked by 15 degree. The breakfast and the receptionist at morning was perfect and very friendly. All in all I was satisfied but I hope at my next visit which I've planned in May I'll get a prechecked room. TV, heating, lamp should be prechecked and there should not be any smell in the room.
