Not good, i arrived at 4pm and was told the room is not ready. The price quote to me on the website for the upgrade was also different at the reception, it was more expensive. After some delay I was told they need to email and check and expected me to wait. But the manager knowing i was clearly unhappy at the point, at least he gave me an upgrade room.

It's a very good hotel, we got room with view to the bay which is nice. The staff are all very friendly, especially at the reception and restaurant/bar. Breakfast is surprisingly good, should try the outdoor area with view to the pool.

Service is very good - I ordered in room dinning , it was very excellent - Location is the best you get in case you are found of Pubs / Music or hanging out with friends - I liked the way they do express checkout , you should replicate this in other accor properties as well

it was a experience which was above average but could have been really better. it seems the hotel is cashing in on its location near the Clarke Quay and not on the service.

Arrived at novotel on 23-11-19 at 1120 singapore time and the first words spoken to us at reception was,"you have not got a room".I was shocked and asked why?where are we supposed to go?i showed the girl our paperwork again and said repeatedly we have a genuine reservation.She smiled and said,"sorry but you have not got a room",then the coloured man working alongside her looked over and said,"what my colleague means is you cannot checkin untill 1400.What a relief,we have got a room,the girl booked us in and asked us to come back at 1400.We returned at 1400 and were given our room key,the lift didn't work,went back to speak to the same girl(dema or similar)and she laughed at us then explained about the key being placed against the black block in the lift.We had asked for a high floor and was given floor 8,went down to reception and asked again for a high floor and told to come back later as they are not ready.Went back at 1515 and still not ready,sat down by reception and noticed others being given high floor rooms.Still waiting at 1600 and the wife joined the priority queue,the other girl had gone and we were served with all the relevant info. by a young girl and given a high floor.The attitude and work ethic of the original girl needs looking into,reception is the first impression of any hotel and she is very bad,severe traing is required.The rest of staff are all pleasant and no issues,people on floor 1 are very helpfull with bags and departure.Shame about our experiance at reception.

I stayed in Room 1502. The layout is such that if someone is to opens the door, the guest can see the bed fully. No Privacy. Room lights to dim. Breakfast was terrible. Bacon like plastic. Quality of fruits is average.
