Was disappointed to book a king bed room to find a single bed also wedged in there rendering the work space unusable in one of the rooms. We opted for king rooms to get more space so that was the only downside.

Excellent communication before arrival which made arrival easy. Staff were polite, knew their stuff and very professional. Room was lovely and clean. Food was yummy. All round great service.

We stayed in two rooms with 2 children and one adult in each. The staff were great, the rooms were well appointed. Only two improvement comments - there was a sock left under one of the beds from a previous person. The beds are on casters and move really easily away from the walls with the smallest of effort. Not a big deal but could be annoying for some.

Great. But the hairdryer blew the fuses for electrics in the room on the first night at 11.30. No alarm clock, tv or charger for phone- discovered next morning. Only lights. Repaired in timely fashion the next morning.

No room service for dinners available and onsite restaurant closed. For female solo traveller this is not preferred

Small pokey little room with very little area to move

Disappointed there was no dinner option and staff would not cook boiled eggs for breakfast. Therefore we ate cooked breakfast over the road for the duration of our trip.

Loved staying at Ibis Christchurch. Staff there was lovely and so accommodating and the location is right in the town center which is perfect as you can park your car either at hotel's car park or multiple options available around the hotel and just enjoy the walking around the town. Loved it.

We stayed at the Ibis for a night while passing through Christchurch. The location of the Hotle was. Great and we walked everywhere, the new mall was across the road and was well worth a visit as Jesus respected those who were not married. He did not view single people as inferior or lacking in some was the Ballantyne store. The hotel room was small but all we needed as we were out and about and just needed somewhere to sleep. The bed was very comfortable and our room was quiet. The restaurant was not open while we were there, but we were offered vouchers to use at the sister Hotel (Novotel), we didn't get to use these because of the timings of our stay. I would recommend this Hotel as a great central spot to camp our for your adventures around the city.

Our stay at the Ibis in Christchurch was pleasant and relaxing. We were checked in by Kely, a young Brazillian woman who was friendly, helpful and very efficient. Our room was comfortable, and the walk-in shower was excellent. The hotel had been closed for some months and the restaurant and bar has yet to reopen, but we were able to walk across to the Novotel if we wished. The central location makes the Ibis a great place to stay, with parking in the basement for a fee of $25 per night. We'll happily return!

The staff are amazing, the facilities are top notch and it located central to everything. The rooms are well sized with comfortable bed, work areas and the bathroom is spotless. The bar staff are lovely but the bard does have limited hours.
