I thought that the cost of the room was over priced for an Ibis budget hotel. I've stayed in 3 Ibis hotels in recent weeks (Birmingham International Airport, Lisbon & Birmingham Central) & this was by far the worst of the 3 Ibis hotels i stayed in. A bit of a walk from the main stations, it would, however, be a good location for the cricket at Edgbaston. The room key didn't work & I had to get it changed 3 times in a 1n stay. The room smelt of cleaning fluids when I entered it. A very small toilet in the room, the shower was adequate. I had breakfast included with the room. I went down for breakfast at 09:45 & there were no pastries left, not replenished. Overall, not my best stay with Ibis.

Room was okay but would have liked some complimentary tea and coffee facilities, receptionist checking in and out very pleasant, difficulty sleeping due to other noisy guests returning to rooms in early hours of the morning which I know can be difficult to control by hotel but may be something you need to try and address.

I had no issues with the stay other than the key system. My key would only ever work once and i had to go to reception everytime I wanted to get into my room. I only stayed one night but must have had around 10 keys issued.

A place to sleep but very basic. One bed not made, very small, extremely noisy all night. Toilet door wouldn’t close properly. Room booked for three people but only one of each size towel left. Not enough plugs to charge phones. LED lights round room on all night with no obvious way to turn them off.

Like a woman without her wig and makeup.

The hotel looks good from the outside.. even the lobby…but the rooms are so disappointing. Like when a beautiful woman takes off her makeup and wig and you’re left with an ugly hobbit. We checked in and paid for our 3 night stay- went up to our room and immediately turned back around heading towards the lobby. The front desk staff was awesome and very accommodating. They understood our disappointment and gave us a complete refund. So pleased with how smooth everything went.

Not the hotel to stay at with friends as the shower is a cupboard with a glass door in the bedroom and the loo is another cupboard. There's absolutely no privacy. It was all clean and definitely a budget hotel, but all the corridors stank and were full of smoke. Best think about this hotel were the lovely friendly helpful staff. Wouldn't stay here again.

Always enjoy my stay. Room 155 needed airing. I went out briefly for a walk and on my return there was a bit of a smell, from the pipes I think, that kind of smell. I've not stayed in a room on that side of the building before, next to the Bristol Road, with the window open all night, it was quite noisy. But, apart from that, I enjoyed my one night stay. Thanks.

Unfortunately we had a very disturbed stay in the hotel. We had to move rooms in the middle of the night as the lights kept spontaneously turning on and flashing quickly. So the strobe lighting meant we couldn't sleep. We had to wait at reception in early hours and eventually got moved. Unfortunately the new room was so noisy we struggle to sleep then. Both the staff in the night and the staff on checkout the next day agreed to our prepaid room being refunded, however, we have yet to receive the refund or any replies to communication. I've stayed in the hotel 3 times previously and the stay has been okay on previous stays.

The room was what can be expected. Matras was bit hard. Shower was great. Very quiet room, which was very appreciated. The service of the employees exceeded my expectations. Never felt more welcome. Absolutely fab!
