Despite stressful New Year days with full house, staff was very friendly and attentive and recognized us as regular guests. However two issues were very disappointing: Welcome Drink has now changed to Soft Drink only! In the past, we also could get Beer or Cocktails! I do not understand this Policy, as rates were very high, we are Platinum member and regular guests and I do not understand this GREED of the management towards us! I did not take the welcome drink, but a beer instead and this was charged at 130 Baht, around double then in any other of the surrounding restaurant or bars…. Why should I try to renew my Platinum Status, when also such Little Benefits are cancelled. I will complain to regional asian managment if this is not properly resolved. And we were also credit too low Status points. we spent 14'553.50 THB NET (before VAT), I calculated on the ALL Accor Websites, how many points this should get. It showed 1080 points, however only 980 were credit to my account. Those are two very big disappointments; I have to consider to change to another Hotel for future visits.

This hotel has a vintage aspect not because if offers an elegant old-time atmosphere but because it has a definitely old and somehow cheap aspect (although the price we paid was not that low). The lobby appears more suitable for a youth hostel. The breakfast room has a poor look. All furniture including the one in the rooms is out of date and tired. The floor in our bedroom (it was in the Grand Suite!) needs an urgent replacement. The deck chairs around the pool are not sufficient for the many hotel guests. The quality breakfast is not the top and the food seems to be mainly meant for guests from India. Relying upon the usual Mercure-Accor Hotels standards as we did because of our former excellent experiences with other Mercure hotels, one risks to be disappointed. This said, the staff was kind, helpful and smiling, the beds were comfortable and our rooms were sufficiently quiet, although some disturbing noise from the swimming pool came in trough the not sound proof windows. Overall our holiday was not that bad but unfortunately not up to our expectations. The description of this hotel published in the web site is not totally realistic. This hotel appears not to be suitable for demanding Europeans tourists.

Enjoyed the stay despite being on the second floor after requesting a high floor. I was offered the 7th floor but a twin bed which would be no good for me. Still it was quiet which was a concern for me as my last stay had been blighted by a company get together that created excessive noise. I was on the 13th floor then but the behaviour in the pool ruined my ability to have an afternoon nap. I moved that time to a room away from the pool and that was what I needed on this trip which, thankfully, I was given. Staff friendly, room pleasant but no kettle which I always like. Still room was functional and clean, bed was comfortable.

Noisy corridors and sun beds towels being put on beds at 2230 in the evening

Was a disaster of a stay 3 times in a week we complained about noise and people running up down corridors shouting The sun beds are a joke , every morning we was having to get up at 5am to secure sun beds people and large crowd putting them out at 2230 Spoke to front desk daily and even emailed the hotel both with no response at all spoilt my week in Pattaya to be we was due back next week but have cancelled and booked other hotels

Enjoyed the stay despite asking for a room on a high floor and getting only the second floor. Was offered a room on a higher floor but only a twin room which was not practical. Noise for a change was very acceptable as previous visits were ruined by noisy groups, No teapot in room which would have made my stay better.

prime location for any activity you have in mind however toooo many cheap tourists from India who only stay 1 or 2 nights but make a mess of the place and parties up to 11pm with loud music which prevents you to sleep. Also as Accor members there are no decent food outlets in Mercure of the sister hotel Baracuda next door where we could have dined at discount

I have discussed with our Room Division Manager the issue of certain group guest behaviors that you mentioned, and we have briefed the Front Desk team to improve their room allocation to avoid any disturbance to individual guests from now on. Aside from that, we have noted this comment down in your profile, so moving forward, my team will ensure you are far away from these type of guests when it comes to allocating rooms.
