I was more than happy with my return visit, it must be at least the 5th or 6th time of visiting. ( I am adding here my comments about some of the staff as the place for this later in the survey does not give enough space for this). It is always nice to be remembered by staff and CHAT at the front door was the first to rush over to welcome me back. Up on the 5th fllor MALEE, who was looking after the rooms, again greeted me with a 'welcome back'. In the Aqua Bar NIK was always excellent at her job with a smile and a helpful attitude. Finally at the front desk NANA was more than helpful when I wanted to check-in for my flight back home. Good staff make a hotel and hotels that keep staff over the years must be doing something right.

No toy in family room

I hv book family room which supposed to be equipped with toys and playstation for kid. Once check-in, there were no toys and no playstation in room. I hv to request reception to install playstation for my kids. No toys per advertisement. Very disappointed.

cleaned and faded bathrooms we’re so small and not appalling, on the top of that after a shower it will block water which is disgusting .

Although food was ok but name Mercure doesn’t sound to be even 3*hotel .The management should start refurbishing first before taking bookings very disappointed with hotel services.

Pleasant staff on reception at check in. Cleaning good and consistent and friendly. Fantastic pool area but not many sunbeds for the number of guests. Satisfactory gym.

Bit noisy, speakers blasting outside bar & we could hear in room on 4th floor. Plenty of Indians without manners staying & a lot did not use the tongs provided for food but, at least, they were fairly quiet compared to some other reviews. All staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are looking a bit dated & in need of an upgrade. Location is fine & not too far to shopping centre, bars/restaurants and the beach.

Nice hotel overall. Bed was a bit on the hard side, typical of beds in Thailand. I wish that they would consider the guests' comfort when choosing bed hard/softness. The air conditioning unit was dirty with mold. Bathroom needed an update. Looked old and worn out.

I had stay here for 6 years ago. I feel the hotel to old. I have bad experiences at the pool. Some guest didn’t respect for the rule.

Well located but very poor internet speed

It would have the slowest internet (around 2 to 3Mbps at best, even at 5 in the morning) of any hotel of stayed in Asia & websites I use in Australia regularly timed out. Staff couldn't fix it & would keep sending technician to my room to check wifi connection when it was the same all over the hotel for me. The swimming pool area ran out of chairs & towels

Just returned from a great stay at mercure. Great staff throughout. Great pool only need to be up early because towels on loungers from dawn. Great buffet breakfast and nice to have seperate area for Accor members. Great location. Clean rooms. Hot water bit slow in shower. Definitely will stay again next trip.

Getting Tired

The staff are lovely, but the rooms are getting tired and need some renovations, especially the bathrooms! Leaking tank under the sink, grout work getting stained, inadequate lighting, no patio furniture. The chef needs more training on western breakfasts - the pancakes were hard, and the omelettes could not be customised. The pool area was good, especially liked the loungers inside the pool and the cabanas around the outside.
