Good location but not a great stay

This was a 1 night stay with family to break up a long journey. Location was easy to get to city centre but our night was not restful. The rooms were very hot despite air con, couldn't leave windows open due to traffic outside. Drains smell kept wafting in. Drain in bath didn't drain shower water. Walls were super thin so could hear family next door with young child throughout the night. Over all, an uncomfortable night for family of 4.

An overnight for a concert in town. The car park was useful, a comfortable room and nice breakfast.

I really loved the atmosphere and the hotel itself, everything was so nice and calm, the 24hour desk was really helpful since we arrived late. I didn't really like the toilet's door, but it's a personal preference, I like more privacy The small table was dirty with some food crumble on it, but nothing really bad, mistakes can happen sometimes

well located but staff not attentive enough

Novotel is well located in the centre of Bristol - near train station and harbourside, so convenient but noisy. the breakfast is ok for english part, lacking in bread options for continental (and no change day on day). Also, the breakfast is more expensive online with the "special offer" than paid on site.. not a great look commercially... The facilities are a bit tired - our room aircon was not functioning, not enough plugs (no USB sockets) in the room. But our main gripe was the hotel staff not paying attention to pre-booking requests or at check-in time, leading to an incorrect number of adults being billed (breakfast), and then making incorrect amendments, taking close to 40 mins to get a "correct" bill upon check out. Frustrating way to finish our family stay..
