We were fortunate to be able to stay at the Novotel in Bristol during an essential work trip. We received a very warm welcome from Lynn. Our room itself was an experience, we had been booked into a suite which I would highly recommend, the suite had everything you could want for a stay and lots of room. The bedroom was separate with a large bed and large ensuite bathroom with a great shower and separate bath. It was obvious the room was prepared to COVID standards which was reassuring. We were greeted by Iain in the morning and again we received a very friendly personal service. Again all the communal areas and conference area were clearly set up to ensure compliance with social distancing. There were more than enough hand cleaning stations. Each delegate was given a separate tray with all of their refreshments for the day on it. We just wished we were staying longer and not just overnight. Looking forward to returning for more training courses in the future. 10 out 10, thank you.

One night stay midweek during half-term with 2 children aged 14 and 11 . Location great and plenty of parking, a real bonus in a city centre hotel. Short walk to great shops , the harbour side and everything else Bristol centre has to offer. Every member of staff that we met were extremely helpful , polite, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive without being intrusive. Hygiene within our room and public areas was excellent; with social distancing being maintained between individuals/families/groups. All staff wearing masks at all times and guests required to wear them unless eating or drinking in the bar or restaurant. Check in and check out quick and easy , paperless with receipts and confirmation sent straight to my phone and email. Due to Covid 19 some services were understandably limited and we had been informed on booking of these. They included things like the sauna being closed, China cups in rooms replaced with disposable ( I took my own mug) and a slightly limited menu in the restaurant. Despite this , 24 hour room service continues and the meals that we did have from the menu were superb with my 14 year old son telling everyone he sees that the 8oz burger was the best he had ever had ! I would definitely stay here again .

Normally hotel is good and not bad size room just i didnt like some staff in the lobby staff perfect and friendly but in the restaurant is can smile

Was ok, wasn't the cleanest there were still hairs in the bath and stains on the floor

Nice hotel. Mostly nice staff. Rooms are not sound proof and you can hear other people around you. We weren't told there was a fire alarm practice on the Monday morning so completely freaked me out when it went off. I later noticed one sign in the reception area but it was in a screen that kept changing so not that obvious. Breakfast on the Saturday morning was not great but they were very busy. But one member of staff stood on his phone by the bar area while another man was running around. The breakfast came out wrong and the bacon was cold and tough. However this is a shame because the other two mornings the breakfast was lovely. I wasn't going to leave a review because I don't like to leave ones that aren't completely positive but I've had about 7 emails and notifications from booking.com to leave one.

Room ok, bathroom a bit tatty around the edges, some of the breakfast items over cooked. Parking was free due to Covid - why isn’t it free all the time?

As I am sure that you are aware, to assist our guest during this crisis with their expenses, we have introduced complimentary parking for a limited period. As we provide a large secure multi-storey underground car parking facility within the city centre then it is general commercial business practise to charge for this service. However, these charges then help towards the running costs of the extraction system as the health and safety of both guest and colleague is of paramount importance to Accor Hotels. Even taking Covid into account access to the reception from the underground car park was poorly thought out to the tune that patrons had to walk in the dark and rain up the entrance and exit ramp which was slippery and poorly lit. The room décor was tired and really needs replacing. For an establishment of this perceived quality the evening menu was extremely limited and unimaginative.

As I am sure that you can appreciate, the UK Government has implemented many restrictions on business's due to the Covid-19 virus. Part of which, they have introduced by law, that every guest must register in the Track & Trace which I understand was clearly explained by the team upon arrival. Therefore, please accept my sincere apologies for the inconvenience this may have caused you due to this protocol put in place. Lovely staff, room was nice - but the bathroom doors are glass and are next to the head of the bed so light shines onto the bed at night and wakes you up. Bar area nice, check out nice and easy.

The hotel was nice. The food was good. Staff were friendly. Only issue was my car was broken into overnight in the carpark underneath the hotel and when I reported it I was told it had happened the week before too. But worrying.
