Palazzo Caracciolo Napoli - MGallery 4 stars

Reception staff friendly and efficient. Very pleasant room overlooking the main street. Excellent breakfasts and again friendly and helpful staff. Overall a very pleasant stay and I would be happy to stay again in the future.

Before booking accommodation at this Hotel you need to check with manager that have no night parties booked in the courtyard area as the noise is significant due to the echo affect. We did not get to sleep until 1.30 am due to thd noise. We complained about the noise to Hotel staff. In the end I had to send a n email to Hotel Manager to get any major response to our complaint other than some complimentary biscuits sent to the room, which was bit of an insult to be honest. I will give the Hotel Manager Claudio praise for responding promptly to our email complaint

The padded panel behind the bed was falling away and was in my bed and around the floor,. in the morning the parts that fallen where in my hair. When reported to reception they took note and did nothing, reported it again 4 hours later and they assured me they would look at it and then again nothing. After understanding that the staff do nothing when when they say that they will action. I waited at reception until someone came to see it, who then advised that we would be moved to another room. However, this was a joke and obviously because we complained about the bed, they moved us to room above the restaurant, then later in the day a wedding was in full swing with music until midnight and we could not sleep, we had an early flight and had to wake up at 5 am in the morning for the flight. Service was a joke, I would believe anything that reception staff say, they may as well speak in gibberish as what comes out of their months is meaningless.

The booking confirmation says ‘city view’ but the room I was allocated overlooked the courtyard in which a wedding celebration was taking place on the first evening and so sleep was not possible until well after midnight. The welcome card in my room was addressed to a woman, so perhaps she was given my city view room.

Stayed for 8 Nights, friendly and helpful staff especially the housekeepers. There were a few noisy events, but they ended by midnight and hotel provided earplugs. Hotel was very handy for trips into the centre, plenty of local pizzerias, trattorias for dinner and cafes for breakfast. 15 min walk to Porto Nolano made it very accessible for getting to see Vesuvius, Pompeii and Herculaneum or to go further to Sorrento.
