disappointment at departure

I stayed here for three nights at the end of my family trip in Spain. Staffs are friendly, rooms are new, clean and with good views. Also, the breakfast buffet was very good, with variety of local cuisine. However, there was one incident which ruins my nice memory of the trip, especially because it happened at the end. When checking in, I was told that the breakfast cost 10€ per person if I confirm at the check in, whereas it will be 20€ if I take it in place. So, I said ok, I’ll take two breakfasts for the first two days for two persons (total 40€) because I am leaving early on my departure. However, at check out, I was told that the reduced rate of 10€ is only applied when I book breakfasts throughout my stay (3 nights), and ended up charging me 80€. I did not argue too much as I was in a hurry. If I were properly informed in the beginning, I actually could have booked for 3 days and just skip the last one, which could have been still less expensive than paying the full rate. The gentleman who handled my check-out should have been more flexible because it is completely due to their internal miscoordination.

We stayed with big family (4 adults, 1 toddler) for 4 nights. We enjoyed location of the hotel, especially playgrounds and modern buildings around. Also breakfast was astonishing, one of the best we tried ever.

To be brief, your entire staff is rude. The rooms are in serious need of an overhaul. Unless you ASK, breakfast deal isn't offered and even then asking for the deal is reluctantly agreed to. Showers are horrible and subject to flood the bathrooms. Drain consistently came off. Tiles cracked on tub. No washcloths. No credit card asked for at check in. Over charged and had to point it out at check out. I am a travel agent and I would never ever recommend your property. I am very angry with myself for electing to go cheaper. You are NO four star. I really wish I could get my money back and get a do over. I had two rooms. Myself and my family from abroad. Both of us were extremely disappointed. A four star hotel knows how to treat guests and anticipate their needs. In no way did you get ANY of our stay right. Incredibly disappointed in your property AND your staff. I will NOT recommend you, nor would I stay again.

Stayed in room 1819, not too bad a room and facing. But, doesn't seems to get a free upgrade as Diamond member if am not wrong, had booked an Executive room for 4 nites from 28 Jan - 1 Feb. However, my return trip got free upgrade to suite 1701 from 5 Feb - 8 Feb.

I loved the location of this hotel. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. I found the sleeping room to be very dark. The bathrooms are so dark, it's depressing and very hard to get ready in the morning with little light. There are no outlets in the bathroom. There was one attached to the hair dryer but didn't work. There are very little outlets throughout the room. It's very frustrating to have to other to other parts of the room to utilize your curling iron or in my case hair dryer because I can't use the one they provide.

Reception staff Yasmine is friendly. Good location, opposite with a shopping center with lots of shops and restaurant. Wonderful Breakfast, variety foods. But the lady in the restaurant reception is impolite. Dinner - kids meal is great for my 10 years kid. Room is clean. But not provide shampoo, body wash & body lotion daily.

Hotel itself was fine. Nothing special. I reviewed on link that sent to my Email from Novotel. I want to Accor management team what I experienced. I eager to recieve first diamond elite treats with some expectations as I tried to reach diamond criteria for last whole last year. At check in point, no recognition...that alright. No welcome gift and never mentioned. Ask for upgrade, recieption said already upgraded (little expect to 2-3 step upgrad or suite...sorry for that tooo expect) That's alright. I have booked for 4 nights, starting from Saturday to Wednesdaty checked out. I got free Breakfast with unknown benefit staff. Sunday morning with long queue to get the table. Staff informed me that I booked without breakfast. I said I should have complimentary breakfast. She insisted that i booked without breakfast. She brought me to the front desk to ask for my complementary breakfast. What the shame I was !!! On Sunday night, I asked the front again for tomorrow breakfast. She said I booked with no breakfast (expected some surprise) Even worse, she informed 20 Euro each for breakfast without any discount (Ok, done and hopeless for this diamond elite) Next morning, i across to have quality breakfast at Tapa Tapa, just for 8.7 Euro for 2 paxs. This I lesson I learnt, dont expect for this new Diamond benefits.
