Well placed for rail travellers - magnificent architect's expression above the station opposite the hotel. Pity the hotel restaurant was not open - but the Italian pizza place 2 mins away is really worth the very short walk. Secure parking on site keeps your vehicle out of the way of those excessively loud nocturnal dragsters.

Our experience at the Ibis Hotel in Mons was our worst experience the entire time in Belgium. The man at the counter was rude, unhelpful and angry when we asked for help. We booked 3 rooms and they only had two of them available. So when we asked about the missing room the man working at the desk was completely rude and unhelpful.

He couldn't help you more what he did because we were fully on that night and we only have two reservertions for you. We try to know where the mistake happened and resolve it. Best Regards

I have had to stay at other Ibis hotels on other countries, and this was one of the best I have stayed at! The chef even comes out to chat with you and make sure you are happy with your evening mealThe breakfast is also much better than other Ibis hotels. The rooms are a good size and clean. The reception and wait staff are all very friendly and helpful.

Except location this hotel offers all services beyond standards. There are no simple kattle, bottle of water in the room. Everything is rather outdated. For this price better to go on the opposite site of Mons trainstation, I mean Tuckan.

Why not 5/5 you might ask? On the 2nd night the reception gave a gay couple the key to my room. I found out about it when they walked in at around 10PM as I was falling asleep. They must have thought I was a present from the hotel. Little to say the unnecessary awkward minute interaction lead to inability to sleep for the next 2 hours and a consequent drop in efficiency at work the next day. The hotel cleaning staff drops a discount card under your door if you don't want your room cleaned, which is a cute gesture from their side. Nonetheless, the first day a week after I decided to let them clean the room, the staff mistaken my bag with toothbrush, paste, shaving cream, razor and nail scissors for a garbage bag and threw it out. Other than they let me use their microwave and offered their restaurant cook to boil the rice I wanted to cook myself. The hotel staff is extremely friendly. The suppressing majority of interactions were very pleasant, and a few neutral. No bad ones tho.
