Bright room, weird small duvet; super-confi bathrobe Very tasty food provided by the room service. Safety measures well in place but somewhat disturbing: no contents in the mini-bar & slow breakfast waiting more than being able to drink a coffee with no fruit available on time

First time at Sofitel we were really dissatisfied to breakfast buffet. Sure I understand the challenges Covid has caused and actions all hotels must do to survive but still, a five star rated hotel should have good quality and selection of breakfast dishes.

The communication with the receptionists was not that welcoming and professional as we are used to. Not informing well ( no info about breakfast times, no info about the restaurant, no info about "no fitness" and so on bit immediate selling attempt of the higher room category) Not listening, leading not to the service we expect ( miscommunication & mistakes) no problem-solving attitude. We tried to minimize contact to the staff...One person ( Mr Scherper?) was very helpful though and really apologized for a problem caused by the hotel. Disappointed that not only the spa was closed but the fitness as well ( Hyatt Hotel Hamburg offers both to the guests this week). Fitness First is no alternative and simply means delegating the problem to another (and very crowded) place. Room was nice, but the carpet having unpleasant spots everywhere. Bathroom perfect, welcome drink excellent, bed the "Sofitel-dream" and the room very quiet, very pleasant. We missed the personal touch, no welcome note, no flower, no chocolate or a little something to say " hello". Stayed at a Novotel some days ago and they offered these kind things making it familiar and friendly for a guest. The 2 smart TV have no access to Netflix or Amazon Prime etc...

1st stay here. Usually we stay at the Marriott Hotel in ABC-Strasse but we have now found another No. 1 hotel for us! Clean, polite staff, good location, nice room with windows which could be wide open!!! Good coffee and breakfast. we will return that's for sure!!

Our business held their first face to face group meeting. This entailed travelling from London and spending 3 days/2 nights in the hotel. The staff were excellent, the rooms clean and comfortable, the meeting room spacious enough for a properly distanced meeting with good amenities. The location is good, walking distance to some nice restaurants, and the hotel bar was welcoming and comfortable.

I gave my Accor LL number when I called to make the reservation and when I checked-in. The points were not credited to my account, which shows no record of my stay. Why is it so hard to do business with Accor on its own terms using its own rewards program. I'm an independent consultant traveling almost every week, where Corona allows. Either this gets fixed this week or I switch hotel brands.

We had a very nice experience with Sofitel in Hamburg as normally. We have stayed at the hotel since year 2012 and it was 10th time we have been there. It was annoying that the pool was not open, but we understand the situation with the Covid 19. The room was very clean and we have had a very nice experience.
