Erfurt is ideal for business and private getaways. The city boasts medieval buildings and Renaissance and Baroque architecture. Its easy accessibility (e.g. via the ICE hub) and proximity to Weimar (20 min.) are as impressive as the Old Synagogue with the Erfurt treasure, St. Augustine's monastery, Kaisersaal and the famous KIKA characters. Mercure Hotel Erfurt Altstadt is in the heart of the city.

Best location - in the heart of Germany. Visit old Synagogue with Erfurt treasure, the Augustinian monastery where Martin Luther was ordained, or the merchant's church where Bach's parents were married. The event venues Kaisersaal, the Arena or Messe Erfurt offer possibilities and are near and can be reached after quickly a few tram stops. Erfurt - Venue of the Federal Garden Show BUGA 2021.

Comfortable bed and good location! Parking is in a garage right below the hotel. Our room wasn't air conditioned, but the windows opened. Street noise was pretty loud, but closing the windows helped! We would stay here again.

Hot on top floor

A well-located modern hotel, but no air-conditioning for bedrooms under the roof. OK, it was 30 degrees outside, but there was no point opening the windows - just couldn't get rid of the heat in the room.. Comfy bed and good sleep (on top of the covers!). Best breakfast I've ever had at a Mercure/Ibis. Staff very welcoming too.

Visiting Erfurt for the day we booked a room at the Mercure for the night. Parking is in a garage on site, for 24 euro/ day. Our room was supposed to be air conditioned, but it wasn't. Our room was overlooking the street and our windows opened, so that helped, but there was a lot of street noise! The bed was pretty comfortable, but the pillows weren't that great! Nice shower with good water pressure and temperature! Good location!

This hotel is really nice located just near the town center. Rooms are standard for a Mercure. Just two points to be aware of. This hotel is not with air conditioning and the parking places are not enough, just to bad, Breakfast buffet is nice and rooms are soundproof and therefore the hotel is quiet.
