We stay in this hotel every visit to Aachen. Great location and service, exellent spa zone. This time one evening we returned to the hotel too late and too tiered that the bar was the only opportunity to have smth for dinner. But Chef kindly invited us to the restaurant and served late private dinner for us. We're really impressed and gratefull.

- Good checkin, friendly desk staff - Room not very clean - Paint peeling in bathroom - No coffee making facilities in the room - The duvets are too short for someone of my height (1m 86cm) - €14 to park is far too expensive

Based on our experience, the Pullman Aachen Quellenhof is a very comfortable venue in which to spend a relaxing visit. The rooms and the communal areas have been furnished and arranged to allow cozy and quiet areas in which to unwind, or alternatively to chat with guests and visitors. The spa facilities are impeccably clean and well-appointed and the swimming pool is much larger than is usually found in hotels, allowing for active swimming. Our room was exceptionally large and the beds extremely comfortable. The Aachen public hot spring baths are located a short distance from the Hotel across a pleasant park. We will definitely return!

The bed is too soft and too elastic, not comfortable to sleep on. Also we have to request room change because it does not match with the image we had during the booking.

We stayed two nights and unfortunately did not have our room cleaned after the first night. Housekeeping came at 10:20AM but we were not yet out of the room. We left for the day at 11:30AM but they never came back to make up the room. We would have liked tea/coffee service available in the room.

The hotel is nice but, frankly, for the price paid, there was a lot that was not good. The shower drained very slowly - I mentioned it after the first day but it wasn't fixed. The chair at the desk had a broken leg. I had to mention that twice before they replaced it. The heating didn't work so the room was a bit chilly (although the bathroom heating was fine) - then on the final (third) evening the heating suddenly powered up.

The staff were really nice but ... the room was freezing cold , the air conditioning broken to on and a big air stream from I don’t know where . And we forgot about the loud music after a while but .... despite that, the breakfast was wonderfull

We had a very enjoyable stay at your hotel, however when arriving in our room it was very warm and we shut down the ventilator. However the room stayed very warm, even with an open window. With world wide discussion about energy use and expenses, this is an issue the hotel can work on.

This was our second visit recently and every bit as good as the first. A friendly welcome, comfortable rooms and lovely atmosphere throughout. We loved the spa area but would prefer the pool a little warmer. We were surprised to find no staff at the counter in the spa and this meant that no treatment was booked. The Elephant bar remains a highlight for us. Great staff and lovely drinks

Disappointing compared to previous stays

I began staying at the Quellenhof many years ago while working with and for Maxdata, a company that was based in Marl. It always felt like a luxurious treat to stay there and so, when my wife and I decided to visit the Christmas market in Aachen we chose to stay at the Quellenhof. This has become an annual event and whenever we are able we stay with you. A couple of times we have struggled to get a room as we have left it too late, but it has become pretty much an annual pilgrimmage. The hotel is not cheap but we have always felt it was worth paying a bit extra. This year however is the first time we have felt disappointed, and this is for a few reasons. 1. The quality of the finish of the room was less than we have come to expect. Some of this was made up of "picky" things which I won't mention as, in fairness, they would not have been noticed were it not for everything else. But lots of chipped paint, particularly in the bathroom, but also around the bedroom. Broken soap dispenser in the bathroom, air conditioning not working (I think we tried every setting but the room was still too hot). I appreciate that people use the rooms and they cannot be 100% all the time, however the fact the soap dispenser had not been replaced suggested a lack of the usual attention to detail we are used to. 2. When we retired for the night (I think around 10pm) there were a couple of trays/tables in the hallway which I imagine were from room service. One of these which was near our room had the remains of a half eaten dinner on display, it was not particularly pleasant to see, but completely appreciate that this is always going to be an issue as they cannot be collected straight away. Our diappointment was that it was still there 12 hours later at around 10am when we went down for breakfast. Speaking for myself, and I have a strong stomach, what had been unpleasant the night before made me feel a little ill on seeing it in the morning. (It had been removed when we returned from breakfast). 3. Finally, and this may be entirely down to my memory, we were told we would have to pay €16.00 for having our car in your car park during our stay. I do not remember this being a charge that was levied previously but as noted above this may just be something that slipped under our radar. The cost of our stay for one night. which included your fantastic breakfast!, was over €200. I believe the issue for the hotel with this from our perspective, is that it does not leave much room for things to not be perfect. A few noted to finish on, the staff are always excellent, breakfast is a real treat and the location and convenience of car parking is a bonus, however based on our experience this year we felt the room was overpriced by perhaps €60, or €80 if you exclude the breakfast. I hope you find these comments helpful, after years of many very positive experiences my criticism is genuinely made to help these things be put right.

We arrived and dropped our bags at 1pm was told to come back for check in at 3pm. We came back at 2.50pm ..was told to come back at 3.15. we waited in the lobby in plain sight. at 3.15 we were told 3.30pm. I went for check in at 3.30 after sitting in the lobby in plain site of the desk since 2.50pm. When I asked if our room was ready the receptionist looked at me as if I was a total stranger..asked for my name and said yes the room had been ready for fifteen minutes. On checkout, we had been out for the morning and got back to a huge queue at reception. We went to our room at 11.55am to get our cases and the card had been rendered invalid.. We had to queue to have our entry card validated so we could get back into the room to get our own belongings and passports etc. The cleaner who was working on other rooms could not help us and explained that the hotel locks down the room at check out time. Effectively with- holding our belongings and passports! I had never had that happen at any other hotel all around the world. In a foreign country to be treated this way instead of as a valued guest was very upsetting and frightening! The rest of the hotel was ok but after the check in experience and then the check out experience there is no way I could recommend this hotel to any friends or family.
