Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Hype I’ve stayed London many times for both business and leisure (lived there for 3years so know the ropes) but this experience ranks among the worst. We stayed in Room 421, which unfortunately was plagued by a constant, deafening noise—something that sounded like a jet engine just outside the window. I’m not sure if it was the hotel’s air conditioning system or another external unit, but it ran loudly from 10 PM until midnight, then started up again at 2 AM. With a 6 AM train to catch to Paris, it made for a very frustrating and sleepless night. As for the “deluxe” room—I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. The term feels misleading. Highlights included a bizarrely long and impractical shelf, no wall art whatsoever, and an extra bed awkwardly squeezed into the doorway. The hotel’s proximity to the station may seem convenient, but in this case, it doesn’t make up for the lack of comfort or quality. Pullman is supposed to be one of Accor’s premium brands, but sadly, this location does not live up to that standard. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I’m not sure what’s worse, knowing that the price of our room here is only marginally more expensive as the Premier Inn across the road, such are the vagaries of the dreadful capitalist nightmare of Dynamic Pricing. Whoever thought that one up should be sent to a detention centre in El Salvador. I’m sure the TV in a Premier Inn room works better than the one in ours. We’re of that age when spend that much more time actually in a hotel room than when we were younger and out trying to get some. We are in 331, next to a (service) lift. Can be a bit noisy with that lift. What was wonderful about the Pullman was the bar. The staff in there positively shine, were friendly and we had a cheeky giggle in just the one order we made before going out to eat. I think, next time I’m in town, I’d like to pop in there for the ambience and shiny bar staff.

We just spent a relaxing couple of days at the hotel in a lovely comfortable room (the delux room with king size bed). We also used the GA KINGSX bar and restaurant, which has an excellent vibe (applause for the design team). What stood out the most though was the quality of the staffs interaction with us, from start to finish they couldnt have been more helpful. Hard to single out one particular member but Sophie on reception set the standard from the offset (thanks Sophie, you were great!). The breakfast, whilst "OK" wasn't outstanding enough to warrant the £26 pp price tag so I would consider trying elsewere. Other than that no negatives for me. As I said, the room and bed was comfortable. We had a room at the back on the 11th floor overlooking the British Library which was quiet and made for a good nights sleep, so I would recommend that if you are a light sleeper like me wife :-) Soooo... Would I go back again? Absolutely! (but up the game on the breakfast :-) )

First 2 nights were smooth. 3rd night was problematic: I showed the Accor Plus virtual membership card at the hotel restaurant after dinner & the server said it was not accepted & that the discount is only for employees? tried to enter my room at 1150 am to get my bags before going to catch the Eurostar. the card did not work. took 3 tries to get a card that worked. 15 mins delayed
