5 night stay. The hotel grounds are beautiful, a huge task to take all the cushions in etc every night / morning. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The hotel was very quiet when we visited. Our room (with pool view) was lovely - although bath towels forgotten on a couple of occasions, but quick to rectify. Breakfast had a good variety - but never any spoons for cereal / yoghurt on the table, nor visible around the buffet. The beach bar is stunning, very nice food. Watching the sunset from here was amazing. The food and drink prices in the hotel are much more expensive than in other local restaurants. Overall, we loved the place, and hope to return again.

Extremely disappointed with this so called “5* hotel”. The hotel should be classed as nothing more than 3*-4* purely on their standards and service. Booked Sofitel hoping the hotel will live up to our expectations of this “big world class brand”. Arrived to celebrate our anniversary which has turned into a nightmare! Sleepless nights due to hot, dusty and out-dated rooms - not cleaned to the standards of a 5* hotel. There are mosquitoes in the room!!! We have to continuously ask the reception for assistance such as extra bath robes, towels, slippers - all have been provided for one person only and the staff don’t really seem to be bothered about our disappointment. We have complained about the air conditioning in our room, they finally changed our room but the air con generally not powerful enough. The rooms are humid and suffocating and is affecting my health as i am asthmatic. We have asked for a fan but this so called 5* hotel don’t even have any so cannot provide us with one. Extra charges to use the indoor pool which is ridiculous. I understand if the charges were to use the spa but not the indoor pool especially when the outdoor pool has been closed due to weather. Prices being charged for a 5* but service is of a 3*!!! The hotel looks nice but the quality & service is highly disappointing and do not recommend booking this hotel if you are expecting 5* standard!

On our arrival we were warmly welcomed by the Sofitel Team. Everyone there was extremely friendly . Special THAN YOU to Ibtissam (hope I spelled your name correctly) who helped me organise a surprise birthday dinner to my partner. Me and her were organising everything over the email prior to our arrival. It came up perfect. My partner did not expect a thing. Thank you once again. Your service was more than 5*. All the stuff in the hotel seemed very caring, they were helpful with everything, even the smallest query you can imagine (there was no hairdryer in our room - after me mentioning it the hairdryer was delivered to our room in less than 5mins) The food was delicious. The breakfast buffet was full of options that even if you stayed there for 2weeks you would not be able to try it all. The restaurant by the beach with an amazing menu and extraordinary views. The rooms look well kept and fully equipped. Well done SOFITEL well done !!! We really enjoyed out stay at The Sofitel. Will definitely be back in the nearest future. See you soon guys

We arrived for a weeks stay in the Sofitel after visiting Casablanca and Marrakesh and was looking forward to the same standard that we had experienced at our two previous hotels (Four Seasons) but sadly the Sofitel has a long way to go… Although it is viewed as 5* and charges 5* prices it fails to deliver the level of service you would expect. The main lobby area and the pool area are really well kept and very clean but our room was very poor, apart from the view. As an example, the light fitting was coming away from the ceiling, shower fitting coming away from the wall, broken reading light and the room did not appear to have been cleaned properly as dust piles had gathered on the floor. We had to leave the balcony door open to air the room and relieve the smell of mould. After raising concerns with guest services and a conversation with the hotel manager, they did agree this was not an acceptable position and moved us to a far better room after two days. The breakfast has a good selection of different food to cater for all tastes and Mohammad Saleem is an asset to to the hotel service team, he is friendly, welcoming and attentive. However, that really is where the good service stops. The pool service is non existent, the staff are there but unwilling to serve you, spend their time on their phones hanging around the bar rather than just simply asking if there is anything you would like. The hotel focus is more on the bigger parties/functions as opposed to the normal holiday guest. I don’t enjoy writing a bad review and rarely find the need to however in this case the Sofitel really need to improve the guest experience if they want to justify the 5* rating.
