From arrival to departure the experience at Sofitel Bangkok was amazing, Staff were amazing, polite and respectful, Facilities were great even with the weather outside being so bad the hotel has everything you require to be indoors for a full day. Restaurants were amazing.

I had reserved a Twin bedroom. Upon the check in, the front desk staff asked to confirm the room type that it was a Twin bedroom. After entering the room, the first picture was the King bed. So my friend had to call the front desk if there was any miscommunication and had to wait for the housekeeper to change the configuration of the bed. Luckily it was not the King bed but it was the 2 Twin beds joining together with one blanket. So the house keeper changed the bed to separate them to be 2 Twin beds with 2 blankets with separate space between each bed.
At first my friend asked for late check out, and he got until 1 PM, I who was the main guest came later because of the bad traffic jam, I raised the problem about the bed type and showed the picture my friend took to the front desk. She apologised. And I asked for late check out again, this time I had got late check out at 4 PM. Then one thing came to my mind, why didn't she offer the 4 PM late check out at first.
As a Platinum Accor member I was entitled to use the executive lounge. The lounge was cosy with attentive staff although during the evening coctail time, the lounge was pretty full. For breakfast I had at the main breakfast venue and also at the lounge. The buffet line was sumptuous with wide selection. For the breakfast at the club lounge, the steak and egg disappointed me. It was too salty, I had to order again and mentioned about the salty taste to the serving staff, the second dish was still salty, I could not finish it all.
For lighting control in the room, it was controlled by the tablet however, it could not be overidden by the physical switch. It was uncomfortable during the night when I woke up and would like to go to the toilet.

Stayed 7 nights at Sofitel and enjoyed the lovely pool (although toilet areas need a good clean out) and sunbeds.
The Club lounge was very good with some very diligent and very helpful staff such as Mariella. The fayre was very good even when very busy it was topped up quickly and we thought the drinks menu was good.
The suite provided on 28th floor was beautiful inside and also had two toilets.
Unfortunately you could not open window screens and enjoy the view fully due to being on inside of corner and other rooms being able to see into suite.
Access from Skybridge was really good as no need to get wet when heading to Malls
Would fully recommend a stay at Sofitel and hope to return next year

A good stay. Room and pool are very beautiful and stylish.
A few possible improvements for the lounge, concerning the price level:
Champagne or at least a good Cremant in the lounge would be more fitting. The lounge openings times are too short.

The Hotel and Staff are fabulous, specially Pat and Mira.
The only negative feedback I have is the mattress and pillows were extremely soft and gave me a terrible back and neck ache. In fact in room 2607 where i spent 3 nights, the mattress was slanting towards the edge and I had to literally sleep towards the centre of the bed.
