Mercure Campinas Hotel 4 stars

Tarcisio Vieira was a great attendant, but it is not allowed to serve the welcome drink as I had on Novotel Jaragua two days ago. It will be necessary to be equal unit by unit. I desagree. Sorry, but I do not understand differente treatments hotel by hotel. I whant to think that Accor is the same instead the place or city!!!

The bed is great, there is much space in the room, facilities to work are very good, breakfast is delicious with lot of varieties.

Arrived late. Reception staff OK - not overly friendly or helpful. Slept well in quiet room.

It was regular, since we arrived we needed to experience a half an hour wait for our check in. I requested an iron and they haven't any iron available neither in the room, so they sent me to the 14th floor, the iron room was kind of weird, it was not for customers, I guess, it looked like internal service to me, didn't like it at all. Another thing I didn't like is that they are not prepared for foreign customers, I didn't have a connection or adapter for my lap top or cellphone and there weren't USB chargers in the room so my cellphone died until next day in the car that I could get it connected.

Very well located, friendly staff, able to fulfill my needs. I got in pretty early (before 6AM) and they were able to grant me an early check-in for 9AM. Which was everything I needed at that point. The only thing that bothered me a bit was the checkout process. The staff asked me if there had been any mini-bar consumption and, after my negative answer, he asked through the radio for someone to check my apartment - in front of me! I know it is the process (as he 'explained' me), but it really sounded like he was checking my information - so, why bother asking me?

Had a great time to relax in the bed and swimming pool.

I was pleased to be there for the first time, although I choose the hotel because I like to relax on the pool and sauna, but those where close because of maintenance, there is no way to know this in advance and may be a reason not to choose the hotel.

I´m usually very satisfied with my stays at mercure, but there was one nuisance this time. Whenever I would turn the hot water on, either on the shower or on the faucet, a strong smell of solvent would rise. I reported the issue to housekeeping and front desk, but got no feedback other than "we are looking into it".

Everything was great at the hotel. Nice ambiance, friendly staff, went out of the way to help English speaking customer.

I generally stay at your hotel for at least ten nights a year over many years. I arrive Sunday morning, this trip at 9:30 AM. I have always been able to enter a room to shower after the flight from the US. I was charged this trip for a half day.I do not understand why I should be charged for two and one-half hours in what was clearly an empty room. Also, Tuesday morning, there was a harsh chemical smell from the water. I mentioned this at checkout, and that I used a water bottle because I could not trust that water to brush my teeth. I was told there had been maintenance. They charged me for the water. You should know I am writing this from a competitor hotel, as I am staying Wednesday and Thursday in Campinas. For the same price, I found a better room, free breakfast, and a staff even in the restaurant that speak English. I always was relatively happy with your hotel, but by the charges I mention above, felt forced to switch, and found a better offer. Hope it was worth it to you. I do appreciate many of the employees as hard working.

Nothing much to write. Some deviation in break fast should be provided as it was observed that it is the same menu all days and same type of stuff. A kettle for boiling water for drinking should be provided in the room.

Awful, Hotel personnel didn´t acknowledge by any means my loyalty. Room assgined was average to low in maintenance: bathroon paint with some scratches. Bath screen leaking after shower. Hygienic shower leaking a lot, reported in the front desk for repair, an the only thing that they did was closing de water tap. The worst of all was the bed: smelling like a lion cage... pillows and sheets. really discusting. Never go again to this one
