Horrible Parking at Hotel - prepare to waste 30 minutes waiting for someone to forcibly park your car in garage.

I was not pleased with greeting at Front Desk during Check in. Your policy that I provide USA Passport for Identification was not communicated to me as the only form of Photo ID accepted at Mercure Hotel. I provide official Photo ID from State of Texas that was declined at check in. I did not have my Passport with me at check in. My eventual check in lasted nearly an hour and was very frustrating. Please review your check in policy to accept all official Photo ID. There is absolutely no reason this check in should require only acceptable Passport - especially without prior notice as check in requirement. I stayed at Hotel Sao Paulo, and they accepted Texas State Photo ID without question - as Mercure should.

It all started on the check in, when I have been informed I had to pay for the entire month on that moment. As I was in a business trip, I needed the invoice of what I paid and the answer was that I would receive the invoice 5 business day after the check out. So, how do you charge me on the check in and only provide me the invoice after 35 days? That is unacceptable. The room had problems on the floor, on the shower and dirt walls and bad illumination. The receptionist team do not have a work book to inform other shifts about guest requests. So, if you need to ask anything to them, just don't do it, because they you not care.

Poor Ibis next door is better

Poor staff on the front desk and the breakfast is very poor compared to the IBIS next door which is also cheaper to stay at - this doesnt add up!!
