Good value hotel in ideal location, right next to main station and bus terminals, but no traffic noise in room (3rd floor). Clean, bright, warm and comfortable room, non smoking. Has been ideal location for exploring the city. Buffet breakfast good value at €15, though selection running out a bit in the last half hour.

stayed here again after our holiday in Mayrhofen. Few yards walk from airport bus stop so great location. Excellent buffet breakfast, luggage storage. 10/15 min walk from old town so ticks all the boxes. ONly downside - having checked in online - we were asked to complete the registration form again so bit of a waste of time!

This room was a good size. It is a approx a 10 min walk from the old part of town. The service was pretty average and not particularly friendly or helpful. We arrived on a early train and knew we would not be able to check in, but wanted to store our bags so we could go exploring. The receptions was rude and bluntly said you are too early to check in, then decided we could store our bags. In the afternoon we returned to check in and got the most unfriendly and rushed check in and was over charged. We had used loyalty points when booking, but these were not deducted when we checked in and we were charged full price. We had to reimbursed on check out (still waiting for this to come through the bank!) Staff were not particularly friendly or unhelpful, could not even help with directions. Breakfast was disappointing, the food was not fresh ( this could have been because it was xmas time) but having mouldy lemons in the fruit basket is not acceptable. Thank goodness for the waffle maker. Overall not up to the usually standard we expected from an Accor hotel.

Josuened Friends getaway - TripAdvisor review

I always booked hotels via the ALL Accor website and the rates include the local taxes. I booked IBIS Innsbruck via this website, I got a surprise when I arrive at the hotel, EUR 20,00 to be paid for local taxes (when the invoice mentioned there is nothing to pay at the hotel, similar to what I could read on the invoices for the hotels booked in France). It would be better to be more transparent when it comes to the amounts to be paid. Why are local and city taxes included in the fares for hotels in France (when the rooms are booked via the ALL Accor website), but there in Innsbruck, it is different? I don't mind paying it, but put it clear on the invoice that it has to be paid. On top of that, the receptionist gave me the receipt twice. I am Austrian and speak German, but with a French accent. The woman at the reception replied to me in English, because of my French accent. I find it rude, I keep speaking in German, but she carried on in English. I gave up and shut my mouth in order not to put her back to where she belongs. There is no safe in the rooms/ no tea or coffee. I left the room at 9,00 in the morning and when I come back at 13.00, the room is still not cleaned. There is only 1 cleaner for the whole hotel, I presume. There is only 1 lift a the hotel. There was no soap in the soap dispenser in the bathroom. I put a note (in German) on a piece of paper to fill the dispenser with soap. No soap when I came back. I needed to go to the reception to ask for soap. As a Silver member, I got a voucher for 2 drinks. I asked for an Almdudler (which is a typical Austrian soft drink), but they won't have it. The service at this hotel has changed a lot and I will never go back to this hotel again. There is an AC Mariott near the Triumphforte and there are many hotels now in Innsbruck with better service. Closing this one down won't make any difference.
