The location was good (near Schiphol), the lady at the reception desk very kind and helpful. I missed the possibility of having a coffee early in the morning at least from a machine (since I had to be at the airport at 3:30). And I missed a shuttle bus at that time. For such early departures there should be the option of booking (and paying) the room without breakfast. I had to book room with breakfast.

Good priced hotel stopover

I had an overnight stop in between flights and decided to stay at the Ibis budget as it was moderately priced, had a free shuttle to/from the airport and completely refundable if anything happened before the trip. I had to wait some time for the shuttle as there was a 40minute gap in the service, which normally runs about every 20 minutes. The driver was very surly and couldn't speak any English. It wasn't clear which of the Ibis hotels the shuttle went to and numerous people asked him the question but he just muttered. We arrived at an Ibis but he didn't make it clear which one and whether this was a central drop off point. Again several people asked him do you stop at the budget and styles hotels but not very forthcoming so just had to guess and stay on the bus until the next stop. Once at the hotel everything was fine. The room was comfortable and a reasonable size. In conclusion a good stopover point as was able to head in to Amsterdam for the evening. The shuttle was the only thing that let it down.

The hotel is not far from the airport, although you cannot reach it on foot. The room was normal. We needed simply to spend the night somewhere so the space was enough. The check-in process was surprisingly fast. The breakfast was cheap and OK. The only issue we had was the free shuttle. We waited 30 mins inside the bus for no evident reason. the other shuttle that we took was punctual.

Very friendly reception staff however room service is very poor. Rooms are not cleaned or made up as you would expect, cleaning staff rude and unprofessional, one even told my wife to speak English when she doing so. Would have to think twice before staying here again,
