Good stay, near to Gaisberg so You can easily visit this mountain. Next to the hotel You can visit Mc Donald's restaurant. Unfortunately there is no shop near to the hotel.

The hotel itself is nice (room, breakfast, staff) but your own car is needed for everything you plan to do if you stay here. That was not an issue for our sightseeing program, but the lack of restaurants (unless you like the fastfood joint in the same complex) in walking distance caused a bit of discomfort. Free parking is definitely a plus. Overall not a big issue - just make sure you do not arrive hungry.

The only thing I would like to mention is that the use of masks was somewhat relaxed. I did not enter the lift once as the person before me was not wearing one. I think it is very important to protect not only yourself but those around you.

Worst ibis hotel I’ve stayed in

Unfortunately this was the most disappointing ibis hotel I’ve stayed in. First of all - when I checked in and got to my room, I put the do not disturb sign on my door. About an hour later your housekeeping staff were knocking on my door. They should know that when the DND sign is on - they should never knock. Secondly - the trains are passing constantly throughout the day and night. I couldn’t sleep due to the noise, and ended up checking out at around midnight.

When I see the map, I thought as the hotel was located outside the town and maybe too far to go to the town but absolutely wrong. It take me 15 minutes by 1 bus in front of the hotel to go to the town. I was payed 2 times more expensive and 10€ plus for the parking with another hotel the night before. And then I find out that Ibis hotel is the best for the price and parking for free. I want to thankfully to one of the receptionist about her kindness. She helped us for all information that we need especially all information for test Covid-19 that she no need to.

I am aware that IBIS is not a four star category hotel, but this hotel need some changes. Get it more to a welcome atmosphere, more colors , more spirit of live.

Ja unser Haus ist in die Jahre gekommen und mein Team und ich selbst versuchen hier schon lange eine Renovierung zu erhalten. Jedoch bis dato mit mäßigem Erfolg, jedoch stirbt die Hoffung bekanntlich zuletzt. I made reservation for different day (friday instead saturday). Hotel automaticaly canceled wrong reservation and did not charge money. We arrived on saturday and we were given new rooms. Thank you very much for your customer care. Everything was perfect.

Good location, north of the city centre. Bus route 21 from the centre drops close by (and there is stop right outside the hotel for the return journey back to the centre). McDonalds restaurant next door. There are some rooms on the ground floor, which are worth asking for, if you have any physical restrictions.

the hotel is nearby the old town and the autobahn, but good for parking. The room is clean and very nice meubled. the reception is very friendly and helpfull. Nearby is the busstop and mcdonalds. quick registration and check out.

I have been a guest of this hotel for dozens of times, and I appreciate its courteous, competent front desk personnel (above all Mr. Alexander), the lovely and convenient location, the leisurely excellent breakfast - in short, everything EXCEPT for one aspect which seems to get worse from one stay to the next: HOUSEKEEPING. This time I stayed for three nights, I left my room every day shortly BEFORE 12 noon, and took off the "Do not Disturb" sign. Every single time - three times - I returned to my room in the evening and my room was NOT made up, neither bad nor bathroom - no one from the cleaning staff had bothered to enter my room. I have stayed in hundreds of IBIS hotels worldwide (Bangkok, Hong Kong, Australia, all of France and Germany and other Austrian IBIS hotels, and I enjoy the evenhanded quality, cleanliness, and functional simplicity. Only in Salzburg Nord the management seems either to not care or to have no authority over their housekeeping staff. This is a disgrace to the ACCOR group, the IBIS brand, and the reputation of Salzburg as a world renowned tourist city. Saying this, I repeat my praise for every other aspect of your hotel`s staff and performance. As a ACCORD Gold club member, as a hundredfold IBIS patron over four decades, maybe my comment will effect some positive change.

No excuse for not having any air-conditioning running when the weather hits 24c. Hotel management should contact and offer a refund or partial refund. This is not acceptable. Even the review comments is not right requiring 200 character

Old fashionned ibis . Price to high for what you get. No decent restaurant around only fast food. In hotel no restaurant, only breakfast and this was OK. Hotel is focusing on group travel, busses japanese, russian...etc busses

Unforntunately we don´t restaurant in the hotel as we are 3 stars Hotel but can can enjoy different snacks 24 hours at our Bar. Fine for a night, but make sure the AC works

We have stayed at Ibis hotels throughout Europe, and this one was very dated and staff was just ok. We had 2 rooms, and the price was higher than we normally spend on Ibis rooms, but apparently, everything in the Salzburg area is at a higher price. The woman who checked me in was very hard to understand and very confusing about the paperwork which I didn't understand why I had to fill it all out since I had already checked in on-line. Once that was settled, we went to our rooms and they were extremely dated and a little musty. Since it was only one night, and we were just sleeping and leaving very early the next morning, we weren't too bothered. My husband and I were in one room and fortunately, the AC worked in our room. Unfortunately, the AC in the 2nd room where our sons slept did not, and they had a miserable night. Sadly, we didn't know until the next morning about their issue with the AC. I made sure I told the gentleman at the Front Desk about it when we were checking out, and expressed my dissatisfaction. I told him one of the main reasons we picked this place was because there was AC in the rooms. He didn't seem too apologetic (since they already had my payment which they take upon check-in) and said they'd have someone look into it. *** All I will suggest if you do stay here, make sure the AC is working before you get settled and don't expect too much.

Very nice hotel great for motorway access and short bus ride to city centre staff were very friendly and helpful and despite other reviews buffet breakfast was great nice selection for all tastes and reception also sell salzburg card which is a must for anyone who wants to explore we used them on our stay and worked out we saved over 100 euros each gives free admission to everything you want to see including the cable car

Unfortunately with respect the Ibis standard it was an unpleasant experience. Smelling corridors, dirty bathroom (photos available). The only elevator was broken and had to carry heavy luggagea by the stairs; what if it happened to a week chaired person.
