Having used this particular Novotel for many years, it is clear to me that the standards are in decline. This no longer feels like a premium experience. Room not cleaned by 16:30, reduced shower water pressure, breakfast selection serverly limited by 09:00. We arrived during a leaking sewage issue and had to walk through a wet, disgusting-smelling area from the garage to reception. That's fine but I would have expected an apology when arriving at reception - none was offered. On the plus side, dinner on all three evenings was excellent and as usual most of the staff were welcoming and very helpful.

lovely stay at the novotel excel. given our requirements, reception upgraded us to ensure adjacent rooms. excellent breakfast, and special thanks to Audrie for making it a special experience, she was absolutely lovely! Among the minuses: Toilet door opening made the toilet room very small, the sofa bed could have been more comfortable

Suite was lovely with outstanding facilities. Sofa bed could have been a tad more comfortable but rain shower was heaven. Really enjoyed the room and the view of the river. I couldn't find children channel on the TV though.

Great location for our needs, though this hotel experience was underwhelming. The fridge did not work well, staff not very welcoming and the toilet walls were very dirty. Not cleaned despite requests to do so.
