Brilliant hotel, large car park underground and with hotel close to SBahn Tiergarten across the street. Very easy to get anywhere and of course to walk downtown. 25 minute walk to Kudamm passed Zoo station. The staff make this hotel, without exception from the chambermaid team to the reception desk and the staff greeting everyone at the breakfast reception, they make sure there are no issues. The spa is lovely, not too busy when we were there and ideal to relax and read in the seating area. A simple sauna and steam room with showers and ice maker. As traditional in German Hotels all nude. My advice is don’t be the one who insists on a costume - other guests will point out this is not acceptable. They mean it! Room ( our choice exec with free bar in the room) is very comfortable, nice mattress and pillows. We understand from speaking to staff the future is uncertain with Novotel not renewing their lease, so what next? We hope a new hotelier steps in because this has become our favourite stay in Berlin. Time will tell but some uncertainty for staff when we were there. We wish them well.

This is a nice hotel, near the Berlin Tiergarten and walking distance to the Ku'Damm and Charlottenburg. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was fine. The spa was very nice. A solid choice. The S -Bahn goes directly to and from the airport as well.

Pros Convenient location, opposite the Tiergarten station. Large spacious room Very quite location Cons There is only one restaurant nearby and one Burger King. We had to dine in at the hotel for dinner which we waited more than half an hour for food. Food choices were limited on the menu. Ordered a Caesar salad which had lettuce (some of them had black spots on it), cherry tomatoes and cheese only. It should come with croutons but none was found.

We booked this hotel for the duration of our stay in Berlin. We absolutely loved this hotel. The suite was very large, bright and cleaned every morning. The mini-bar being restocked daily and being complimentary was a plus. The staff was very friendly and professionnal. The location was perfect as it is right across the street from the S-Bahn Tiergarten station, which we used frequently. We used the nice workout room with sauna on the top level. This was the perfect choice for our family vacation in Berlin. Highly recommend!

Great hotel, let down by abysmal free WiFi and crowded breakfast area

Easy to navigate to, big bonus is a large underground car park with lift access directly to reception and other levels. All of the staff, without exception, were simply brilliant: helpful, friendly, speak multiple languages - many hotels would kill to get staff like these Room faced the Tiergarten S-bahn station, so a brilliant location to make quick and easy journeys to whatever bit of Berlin you need to get to. If you like trains, try and get an 'S-bahn facing room'..... Room was generally fine, air-con struggled a bit on the warmest day but much better than many hotels we've visited (are you reading this Novotel Koln?) so sleeping was no problem. Everything worked, really nice bathroom Breakfast was plentiful and mostly well-replenished with a good variety. Unless you're over-demanding, you wouldn't be disappointed.... But 2 issues: the breakfast area is simply too small and crowded (some of the area was set aside, I think, for conference folk or 'something else') and at times the only option was to share a table with complete strangers (and this wasn't the busiest time either) so not ideal if you're shy Other issue was the awful free WiFi, constantly losing the internet connection (which means many Android devices will then disconnect from the WiFi) so it was a constant 'reconnect, reconnect' - and the internet speeds wasn't great. Yes, you could get price-gouged 'premium' WiFi, but in this day and age.....other hotels manage this If you can put aside these issues, I'd recommend this hotel - far enough out so that it's easy to drive to without stress, but only 45-minute walk through the lovely Tiergarten to the Brandenburg gate, or hop on S-bahn literally across the road
