I booked a room but wasn’t informed there was MAJOR roadwork out the front and side of the hotel. Getting in and out is an obstacle course. Breakfast is NOT included all though your advertising states it’s included . Advertising says turn at Hungry Jacks but this has moved to the other side of the bridge wasted 20 mins finding that out No welcome drink or water not like Mercure or Novotel The room it self was clean , fresh linen and comfortable bed

Good for a one night stay

The check-in process was easy. Staff was welcoming. Room was clean but had a certain smell. The room was small but it was very reasonably priced compared to all the accommodation options around. I would recommend this for a stay of day or two but maybe not more than that.

Budget conscious stop-over

We were pleasantly surprised with this budget option for a single night stay following a day at the zoo. The staff were more than helpful, ample parking just outside the door and the room was adequate, clean and bright. The pool looked inviting but we didn't jump in and there was a descent thai place just down the road and IGA around the corner.

Good value, clean and handy little action to drive to airport. Staff were helpful, friendly and professional. The rooms are plain but were quiet and nice and clean, and the beds comfortable.

Basic to the point that it felt like I was being punished

Check-in was good. The guy at reception was friendly and helpful. The room was clean. Those were the only good points. We were in a family room. The double bed was OK. The bunks were incredibly uncomfortable. The bunk beds were not made: there was a thin sheet and a thin blanket folded up at the end of the bed. These were utterly inadequate, even in spring. The bathroom was stupid. The only shelf was above the toilet, next to the shower. The shelf was bowl-shaped and had no drain. It filled with water when you ran the shower, ruining all the toiletries. Decor was grim. I get that in big cities, Ibis Budgets are designed to be unpleasant as this pushes customers into higher-grade Accor hotels, and that makes sense as a strategy. But the nearest Accor properties to this are in Orange and Broken Hill: they're really not viable alternatives. So why punish us for staying here? And I understand cost-cutting. But the stupid bathroom design and the terrible bedding didn't make things cheaper for you; they just made things worse for us. The same goes for design points like spray-painted stencilled Accor adverts rather than posters. I get that you don't want to spend money to make the experience better; that's what all super-basic hotels do. But you seem to have actively put effort into making the stay as unpleasant as possible. I've stayed in Ibis Budgets in Canberra and Dusseldorf before. They're basic and joy-sapping, but they were not as bad as this. I'm not going to say I'll never stay here again: if every other hotel in Dubbo is sold out, then I'll have to. But I certainly wouldn't choose to stay here over anywhere else.

Disgustingly dirty and unhygienic

The floors, both carpet and tile, were alive with mould growth. The bed was stained yellow below the sheets on both sides and springs could be felt. Doors did not shut securely without effort. The kettle was full of dirt and there was half eaten food in the fridge when we checked in. The people working were polite and helpful but clearly under resourced. Would not stay here again if you paid me!

The stay was pleasant with a comfortable bed, good shower, and good restaurant across the road at the pub. Can't use the air conditioner at night due to noise do cooling room down in advance is recommended.

Extreme budget! room was not cosy or welcoming. was not expecting room to be so bare, cold and uncared for. carpet and walls very dirty, no drain covers and cob webs on door frame. staff were great, friendly and very helpful accommodating with requests for extra towels, pillow and other items.

Room was clean and as expected, however needed fly screens on the window - we opened it on arrival to air out the room and of course it filled up with bugs. Would have preferred the window open to sleep but of course that wasn’t an option once the bugs arrived! Apart from that, it was a good stay and the staff were lovely. There were roadworks right outside but understand that’s not the hotel’s fault and can’t be helped.

When we arrived, the young kid at the counter took our booking and mumbled something about parking. We got our key and went to our car to get our suitcase, then looked for a way to get to our room. Eventually, we discovered that we had to enter past reception and up some stairs. The room was so small that only one person at a time could attend to things like sorting clothes and toiletries from the suitcase, while the other sat on the bed. The bathroom was just a square of plastic with barely enough room to turn around. We are Accor members, and have stayed at other Ibis motels, which made this experience even more disappointing.
