We spend one night at this hotel when we waited for our rental car to get ready. Our first impression of the hotel wasn’t very good. The check in took ages since there were only one person working and by accident we arrived at the same time as a tourist group and a flight crew. The rooms were ok. A bit old and could use some renovation in 1-2 years. There were a few things broken like pieces of the sink. The breakfast was good with both hot and cold options. The restaurant was ok, but a bit pricey. We tried to book the shuttle service to the airport but it was fully booked between 8-10am. We had to get a cab instead. We wouldn’t recommend this hotel since there are a few cheaper ones near by the airport itself.

Gelim Couples - TripAdvisor review

We had two short stays totalling three nights in early and mid-September at this hotel. We used the hotel after and before flights at Malpensa airport. The hotel is a taxi ride from the airport costing between 20 and 25 euros, the hotel does provide a charged-for shuttle but within a restricted time frame. It costs 20 euros. In a vehicle the journey time from airport to hotel is about 15 minutes. Unless guests are driving to the hotel there seems no other way of accessing it easily. There is parking at the hotel. This is a big hotel with 208 rooms. It is also nothing other than an airport hotel. It does accommodate groups as well as aircrew. Reception can be very busy and the quality of reception staff varies enormously. The female staff could not be more helpful, the male staff varied between incompetent and/or supercilious. The reception area is to the side of the bar and beyond is the breakfast room and restaurant. Reception has several soft seating areas, the bar is comfortable and airy and overlooking the pool. There is outside seating. The breakfast room is really only just adequate even at its early opening. It opens at 05:30, but can within an hour be very nearly full. Groups are segregated but not always compliant. The food is standard continental fare with a couple of hot options and a difficult toaster. The food itself was fine and plentiful. The one way system around the buffet is generally ignored as is evident in most hotels these days – but it is not helped by the sequencing of food and drink. We took dinner, but the hotel is evidently plagued by the staff shortages and the need to have inexperienced people. The menu is largely pizza with no alternatives for vegetarians except a cannelloni at the bar. There are some extra dishes for non-vegetarians. The difficulties under which the hotel trades is that the staff in the restaurant do not understand vegetarianism, do not understand the conventions of service and fail to exercise any common sense in addressing their shortcomings. The Maitre’d is overwhelmed, very helpful, professional but struggling. On entry into the room on our first stay we were frankly too tired to notice much save that there was no evident upgrade. But on our second, longer stay the room was a disaster. Upon entry we logged no fewer than six issues ranging from a curtain hanging off the rail to electrical faults in the bed headboard. We did not accept that the room had been deep cleaned (peanuts on the floor and sweets in the wardrobe). One of these faults was corrected immediately and the remainder were dealt with the following day after our interceding with the Head of Housekeeping. The problems were resolved and we were encouraged to accept a free transfer to the airport but our point to the hotel – and for any reader of this review – is that we should not have needed to raise any complaint. (This is further underlined given our regularity of the use of Accor hotels and the loyalty card status. We were not, initially offered any upgrading at all despite rooms being available.) The bathroom has five pieces with both a bath and separate shower. Toiletries were sparse but everything was reasonably clean and did work. Despite the size of the hotel and the positioning at a road junction there was no external noise and very little noise within the hotel transferred to our room. The hotel is priced mid-range and if booked early can be secured for a reasonable price, late booking brings a considerable penalty. We were disappointed in our stays. The first was brief with us arriving late in the evening and departing early in the morning. The second which was the longer and the one that was most disrupted involved an early afternoon arrival and departure. If the hotel is used as a stopover - as our first visit - and is booked well in advance it is acceptable, especially in light of the shortage of conveniently located mid-range hotels at Malpensa.

Zanthemandle Business - TripAdvisor review

I waited 40 minutes at the airport for a shuttle bus to arrive and then they charged me 20 euros for a 5 minute drive. In the morning it was 25 euros to go back to the airport, unbelievable! The breakfast was also disappointing with terrible coffee.
