We booked a family room for 3. We arrived after 10pm and a long drive, and then had to make up the third, bunk bed, ourselves. We were also informed on arrival that there was a fee for parking. This was not made clear on the website. I paid roughly £6 each for breakfast, only to discover this cost £2.80 each when purchased at the hotel. Really disappointed.

There was an awful sewage smell in the room and bathroom all night. I know it’s a budget hotel but I expect to be able to at least breathe

The entire hotel smelt very weird. The room smelt disgusting, the door to our room did not work properly and we had to try 5 times to get it open. Stains on the carpets throughout the hotel, door handle was missing on the bathroom door in our room. The AC in the room was extremely loud. Receptionist had a bad attitude and there was a lot of anti social behaviour outside of the hotel well into the early hours of the morning. Never ever ever will I stay at an Ibis Budget again - considering it wasn’t even that cheap when adding the cost of parking in comparison to other hotels where I’ve had much better experiences!

Had issue with my booking and a member of staff, a young gentleman was very friendly and helpful. The next day though, the male staff who dealt with me was very unfriendly and unhelpful. Luckily a female staff took over my request and helped me a great deal.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ibis budget for once the location is great with a short walking distance from Barking station. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. And the hotel staff were all amazing.

The photos of the room showed a carpet, but there wasn't one. Also no kettle in the room and very expensive hot water to make your own. Electric socket too far away from the bed

Stayed for 2 nights. I asked to have a room with easy access due to mobility issues. This was not a problem. The check in staff were really polite and friendly. The rooms were compact but this was to be expected in a budget hotel. The bed was comfortable and large fluffy towels were supplied. Thank you

The room configuration was all wrong, plug socket and mirrors in wrong places, shower not working

The room was ok clean. Towels were paper thin. No kettle in room. Prices for soft drinks and beer were 4 star prices in a 2 star hotel. Now the staff are very friendly and attentive. There are better hotels nearby with better facilities for cheaper prices.

Dirty room. Lucky I had wipes so cleaned table, bathroom-they put used toilet roll on stand. Shower wall dirty. Bed was clean. Parts of floor dirty. Unfriendly staff. £1.00 for a 500ml of water. That's all.

Hello, I am not sure if you wrote the review for the right property because to me it does not seem like for our hotel. We have very strict cleaning standards in place with 2 steps cleaning and there is no way that you get a dirty room, even if the room was dirty I wonder why you continued to stay in a dirty room and did not report at reception? The price for bottle of water you've mentioned is also wrong we sell at £1.10 which we believe is a very fair price. Thank you.

Heater is preprogramed to maximum of 25C. It was so cold during this winter weather, I was shivering inside the room. Please, don't preprogram the heater during this winter season. I don't mind staying during the summer season as heater is not needed.
