Rooms are basic but really comfortable and offer fabulous value. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel but instead walked across the road to the Priory pub. Staff are super friendly. We will return…..

My second weekend in sucession whilst visiting family. 2 weeks ago I slept like a log and the bed was very comfortable. Last weekend noise interupted my sleep from other inconsiderate guests. At 2.30am Sunday morning 4 men were talking very loudly outside the main entrance for some half an hour - I was going to phone reception to ask if they could be told to be quiet but the reception telpone number was missing. This is a health and safety issue which I mentioned the next morning to reception. If a guest was ill, alone and needed help there was no emergency contact for hotel staff. This needs to be addressed urgently. The receptioist even had to go on the internet to find theri own telephone number - just call the hotel main telephone number she said and wrote it on a scrap of paper!! Net night other guests returned in the early hosurs banging doors - not the hotel fault but spoilt my much needed night's sleep after the previous night's noisy people. I also mentioned the tiles that had come away from the wall at the rear of the toilet - I was in the same room as revious weekend and they were the same - falling off the wall. Nrought this to the attention of reception along with the blown bulb in one of the bedside lights

Second stay here as very impressed first time. Quality and service was first class and made for a relaxing stay. Staff were polite and helpful and nothing was too much for them. Will definitely use this hotel again

My husband and friend stay every year to visit santa pod. This year was the worst. One of their nights was put off from the year before and added to this year, which meant i had to do two nights as a separate booking (so they had two reservation numbers). When they arrived, i had a call to say the moved night wasn't paid for. I logged on to my account for them to then agree it was actually paid for. The guys then sorted with the receptionist that they can indeed stay in the same room for the two separate bookings. They arrived back on their third night later in the evening to find all their bags packed (mixed both the guys dirty clothes into each others bags) and the bags had been moved to reception hallway for anyone to pick up and then put back into the room. The biggest annoyance was a leaky tap on the first night which was reported to have a come back saying (because of covid no one can enter the room to fix the tap) but they are happy to have the cleaners touch all the guys stuff, mix up the guys stuff and bag it all up without asking reception if there was a reason for there bits to still be in the room. Lack of communication and 'covid' excuses. one rule for one and one for another. These guys use this hotel every year and have done for the last 7 years. Due to not being able to speak to a manager and being extremely unhappy with what happened, they will not go back.

Slightly below average for an Ibis. Bathroom stunk of smoke that had been masked with air freshener. Food was a bit rubbish but edible. However the bed was comfortable and I slept ok which was all I really needed after a long days drive. Would I stay again? probably not.
