Convenient location, plenty of parking, be sure Reception have registered your car for your stay. Have stayed overnight mid week and Saturday night. Rooms clean, bathroom clean, beds ok, matresses bit soft, rooms cosy, staff friendly and very helpful. Breakfast choice of full cooked or chese, ham rolls etc. Good value no frills hotel. Can be noisy on weekend nights at times. Best of all dog friendly. Recoomended for a short stay.

Rude staff and incorrect information

I booked a day stay reservation on 22nd January (Sunday) and receive my confirmation. On the website, I was asked to choose arrival time so I chose 9am. Prior to this, I did not see the earliest arrival time for "Day Use" and had tried contacting the hotel directly before booking twice but no one answered. I proceeded to book and on arrival at the hotel was told Day Use starts from 10am and I have to be charged £10 for early check-in. I informed the lady at the desk that it was not made clear on the website and I had been given the option of coming at 9am. I was then told by another lady who was standing on the side that I should have called with a look of disdain. I explained that I tried to and no one picked up. I showed the call log to the lady at the reception as I felt I had to prove the attempt to contact them and rather than acknowledge the failure to answer the call at the time, the lady on the side kept telling me that I should have called. Bearing mind, I had booked the room in the early hours of that day while I was working a night shift so this was a last minute booking. Furthermore, they had failed to answer the call twice and within a 10-15 minute interval. I received no apology but rather very rude behaviour from the member of staff. On top of that, I was charged an extra £10 for early check-in even though my confirmation said 9am and I had no information on the check-in time and possible extra cost I felt disappointed and cheated. After a 13 hour shift and due to return the same day, the last thing I wanted was to be having a back and forth with staff just to rest. It was my first time staying at this location and only needed this as I was stranded. I was treated rudely (not by the lady who checked me in) by member of staff and charged an extra £10 for something which I had no prior knowledge of. On top of that, the room was freezing, took ages to warm up and was noisy. I don't think I will be staying at this location ever again. I read reviews before booking. What an opposite experience it was compared to the reviews. Highly disappointed.

As already mentioned on the review you already left on our website, information are clear in the T&Cs of the booking at check-in for day-use bookings is from 10 a.m. The rate for day-use is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. If the rooms is needed from 8 a.m. extra fees apply. We stayed at this hotel for one night for a local wedding. It was very easy to reach by the motorway and plenty of parking available. We were not allowed to check in early and had to pay nearly as much as another night to check in two hours early. The room and bathroom were tired but standard, the bed was comfortable enough and the heater worked. We didnt have the breakfast but plenty of options nearby.

Has bar and restaurant, disability accessable rooms with walk in showers which we had. Car parking no problem, next to mcDonalds if you need that. Convenient spot just off A45. Dog freindly evidently and there was a bit of an issue with the dog in the room next to my daughter whinning alot during the night. Its an Ibis and you get what you expect.

Not a very good standard of hotel for the price paid. Rude evening manager that give no notice of bar closing and then threatened to turn lights out on us while a female friend was waiting for a taxi home. Would not serve drinks but happy to serve a gentleman a beer after bar was closed with no explanation as to why? I’ve stayed in many hotel and would definitely not recommend this one! The Premier Inn 5 minutes away was far better than this and much better value for money.
