Was not sure what to expect as never started at a Ibis before and the room rate was very cheap. Check in easy, lovely friendly staff. The room was fabulous, clean and functional, easy walk in shower. The staff were amazing when there was no remote control for the TV, they came and looked for it but when it couldn’t be found they got us a replacement immediately. McDonald's restaurant and nice pub 2 mins away. Well done Ibis Wellingborough

Overall a good stay, the hotel is looking its aged but ok, my main concern is that they put a not staying that they will be no room cleaning etc and ask at reception if you need anything then everyday are room is made up, its not a complaint but why

No clean bathroom. Poor breakfast

Spacious room, but not clean. In the bathroom, there was still dirt on the floor, toilet seat was very dirty! Breakfast was poor. Hard bread, little toppings. I expected better, considering the positive reviews. The staff was friendly.

Lack of service

staff were brilliant no issues with customer service, however the bathroom sink had a horrendous smell of sewage whenever it was used, and the bedroom window would not secure closed.

Although my room was nice & tidy, my neighbours were not great had arguing really loud until almost 7am, and the security team did nothing so my first night wasnt great at all, I understand it was New Years but what's the point of the security? Because of this I didnt stay the second night that I paid for I just dropped my key in the box and left.

Room was ready lunchtime Christmas day which was a real Christmas bonus . When we arrived back later in the evening , it was great to relax in the bar up to midnight . The room was very clean as was the public areas . All the staff were very friendly . Plenty of parking . Very comfortable stay .We will definitely be back next year !

Noisy neighbour

Made 2 requests when booking, ground floor and adjoining rooms. Also rang up 3 days prior to ensure that requests were being dealt with and this was confirmed as ok. When we arrived at hotel we were told that our 2 rooms weren’t adjoining and weren’t even together. After expressing our annoyance we were eventually offered 2 rooms opposite each other which we had to take as we were told that was all they could do. I don’t see how we could be told 3 days earlier that we would definitely have adjoining rooms but then turn up on the day to be told we couldn’t To compound this we then hardly slept all night as the guy in the room next to us was snoring and grunting all night long before he woke up and put his tele on at 5.30 at a high volume. Ironically his room was adjoining to ours, exactly where our boys should have been if the hotel had delivered on its commitments Left the hotel absolutely cream crackered with a 140 mile drive in front of us!! Won’t be returning again!!

Rooms are basic but really comfortable and offer fabulous value. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel but instead walked across the road to the Priory pub. Staff are super friendly. We will return…..
