Courteous receptionists, who had to deal with a minor computer glitch before my room could be allocated. Satisfactory room - clean, quite spacious, pleasant temperature, large tv, and very comfortable bed. Fairly basic but adequate makings for hot drinks. Pleasing to see bottles of still and sparkling water in the fridge. Well sound-proofed room - very little noise heard from the street outside. Breakfast was good. Disappointed to see so many guests wandering around the hotel without a face-mask, especially in the dining area at breakfast where it would be sensible for everyone to remain masked until seated and about to eat. Such people might be fed up with the pandemic (we all are), but pretending it's no longer a risk doesn't make it go away! Hotel staff were appropriately face-masked or screened, and the hotel did display messages recommending the wearing of face-masks.

All really good. Friendly staff. Slight improvement areas: make clear car park charges, and the bar staff even though very friendly, took a long time to take food orders. The coffee machines at breakfast were not working at both locations. However overall a great experience. Thank you

Novotel is my go to hotel when I stay in Manchester for work because it is well located, comfortable & has a gym. My most recent stay was for 3 nights. I realise Covid restrictions have had an impact on some services for hotels but was disappointed that my bed was left unmade (although a half attempt was made on the first day!!) there was no replenishment of tea / coffee/ milk & no water provided in the fridge. I was given fresh towels - although that was unnecessary & not good for environment. I hadn’t left my towels on the floor so the chamber mais should have known I didn’t need fresh towels. I will stay at Novotel again as it is my prefer hotel - I was just a little disappointed on my recent stay as it was not it’s usual standard.

I looked forward to staying at this hotel which I have previously stayed in 9 yrs ago. It was quite nice. However I wasn’t couldn’t use a microwave when I asked for. This was meant to be available as requested during by pre-booking. It’s was a pleasant stay despite this. Will I stay next time, hopefully yes.

A first visit to Manchester city centre so we wanted a central location near to China town. with a nearby carpark. The Novotel fitted the bill and I looked at quite a few hotels as all we wanted was a bed for the night en route to a funeral. Reception and check in good. We thought the room room, 337 twin, fine for a one night stay BUT one mattress was upside down and quite impossible to sleep on with very uncomfortable springs sticking out. EVENTUALLY I HAD TO TAKE THE DUVET COVER OFF AND USE IT LIKE A SHEET AND SLEEP ON TOP OF THE DUVET BUT IT WAS STILL VERY UNCOMFORTABE. We had to leave in the morning for the funeral otherwise I would have pursued the problem with the management.. I told the girl on reception so I hope something was done about it. I did not like to look at the top side of the mattress as I thought it might be something unpleasant but it is IMPOSSIBLE TO SLEEP WITH THE MATTRESS THE WRONG WAY UP, NOT WHAT YOU EXPECT IN A HOTEL.

I’m going to be honest I’m a little disheartened from this weekend. I arrived 45 minutes prior to the check in time and the room wasn’t ready, which is absolutely fine, I was asked to take a seat in the lobby and wait. There were a few more people that arrived who were given there room straight away but some were asked to do the same as me and await the check in hour. However, shortly after, the people that were told to wait were individually approached by a receptionist as their room became available. I was waiting beyond check in as I was just left to sit. I don’t understand why I was different in this circumstance? On arrival to my room, a male housekeeper said hello to me just outside the room and I kept up a friendly conversation until I went inside. He then decided it was appropriate to let himself in after watching me go inside to which I was absolutely shocked by, all to say hello again and when he saw my absolute disbelief he just turned round and let himself out. I honestly still can’t believe it. This happened FIVE times throughout the night and morning, not only by the same man!!!!!!! The room was filthy, the cupboard doors have a collection of crumbs and dust, the door frames, the side tables. All filthy. Plus, someone had actually left their takeaway rubbish in the wardrobe which hadn’t been removed by housekeeping! On to the evening when a woman let herself in the room quite late on, I thought locking the door would prevent this from happening again but alas 7am the next morning another woman lets herself in, then again 9am another lady, and then another lady at 10.30. Not one of them knocked just let themselves in without checking. It is so beyond inappropriate! A little knock would prevent mishaps from happening, it’s a hotel room that you pay for and you expect it to be private, a place away from home where you should feel comfortable to relax… not be on pins that someone is going to let themselves in when in the shower or on the toilet or in bed! Honestly I’m in disbelief. I have never felt so uncomfortable before, from the way I was treated in reception to the way my room seemed to be a free for all!

Unfortunately the room flooded as the shower was blocked, reported this but no one came to repair which considering paid around 300 for the junior suite was a real shame .

Great Hotel, very modern and light. Not far from the City Centre and the hustle and bussle. Very relaxing stay, mattress ok. Personally I like a softer mattress, but still had a great night sleep.

We were given an accessible room (we didn’t require it) first of all which we weren’t overly happy with for two reasons. 1. It had a bath and not a shower and I have back problems so getting in and out was a struggle and 2. What if someone who really did need the room couldn’t have it because we were staying in it?? However this was changed the next day so I must admit very well dealt with. One thing which I was pretty disgusted at however, was the room cleanliness, even more so in times like these. The toilet and hand wash sink were in two different rooms, not the end of the world but definitely not hygienic…. Then the cleaner didn’t touch a single thing other than make the bed. Dirty cups and spoons left and not replaced which we had to clean ourselves with hand soap. The towels were replaced with hand towels and had to ask several times for full sized towels. Staff were all super friendly which was nice. The rest of the hotel was super clean

Nice hotel but was not happy with bedroom booked a delux also wet room let water into bedroom. suit when read it said good views manchester but all we could see was the street . Marks on ceiling and cleaners sprays left in room think I could have save me some money by booking just a bed room and not the deluxe one

Nice clean & spacious room. Really well located hotel in the city centre. Very good food for dinner and breakfast. Paid for a late checkout too which was handy as I had a late flight home. Will return

Having stayed at many Novotels throughout the world, my recent stay at the Novotel Manchester Centre was probably one of the poorest experiences I have had when staying at any Novotel. Whilst the hotel is well situated and staff were friendly, I was told when I enquired as to why my room had not been made up after our 1st night that due to COVID rooms were now only being serviced every 3 days. This information should have been shared at time of booking or at the very least when we checked in. Towels were not changed, beds not made, tea/coffee not replaced and I would not expect to have to ask for toilet paper in a hotel of this standard, Disappointing overall..
